This ML seriously has nothing else to do... lol. Every time FL’s in-laws start causing trouble, he magically shows up right on time. 😂 And the 2ML? He’s so indecisive...He keeps asking his mother what he should do next... 🤣🤣
Plot Summary Due to the weighing of family interests, Wenxi married Shang Chen, the heir to a wealthy family in Beijing. This marriage, which began as a contract, was initially incredibly cold, with them living parallel lives under the same roof. Until a light left on late at night, an awkward embrace when sick, and unwavering protection amidst rumors—silent guardianship gradually melted away the barriers. In countless daily moments together, their slowly maturing relationship blossomed into a deep affection that couldn't be hidden in their eyes. It turns out that the best kind of fate isn't love at first sight, but rather becoming each other's destiny after spending time together.
Watched for the first 6 of the drama... i couldnt bring myself to finish it.. just not for me.. Realistically speaking, I understand FL. She’s just a normal person who accidentally transmigrated into the book, and because she didn’t properly read the novel, her way of solving the “puzzle” was understandably not that sharp. I don’t expect her to be a Mary Sue, but honestly, FL still bores me.
It’s fine. Nothing too exciting happened—like fried chicken that’s perfectly edible but not exactly something you’d rave about. 😅 I did enjoy the action and comedy here and there, though, and those were probably what kept me watching.
I just wish the drama had put more focus on ML’s search for his daughter. Almost every episode goes into someone’s backstory—not just the villains, but the leads too. I get that they’re trying to build the characters, but sometimes it felt like they were spending too much time on it when I was just waiting to see ML get closer to finding his daughter. If they had trimmed down some of the backstories, I think the story would’ve been much more focused and moved along better.
Once they found ML’s daughter, the story shifted more towards the political side, and that made me a little less interested. I was more invested in the whole search for his daughter, so the political stuff didn’t really grab me as much. Still, there were enough action and funny moments to keep me going.
And poor ML really couldn’t catch a break. The man just wants to live peacefully with his daughter, but somehow he has a million targets on his back and nobody seems willing to leave him alone. I guess once you’re a spy, you can forget about having a normal life. Poor ML. 😂
I have to say, I really hated Mole Cricket and Ju Gang Chan. Both were damn annoying and evil, but the actors did such a good job playing them that I genuinely couldn’t stand either character. I honestly thought Ju Gang Chan’s part would be over by episode 7, but nope… somehow he kept showing up and dragging his storyline all the way to the end. That’s when you know the actor really did his job.
Plot Summary Jiang Wan, a modern-day divine physician, transmigrates into a novel with a medical space. Having just married Prince Song Jiuyuan, she learns that her family has been framed by political enemies and faces confiscation of property and exile. As the original villainous female supporting character, she refuses to repeat the same fate. Decisively using her spatial abilities and understanding of the plot, she empties the warehouses of the prince's mansion and her enemy's residence overnight, stockpiling massive amounts of food, medicine, gold, and silver. She then embarks on a journey of escape with Song Jiuyuan, who has been framed, crippled, and suffering from his old ailment. Along the way, Jiang Wan heals Song Jiuyuan's injuries with her superb medical skills, uses her spatial resources to deal with natural disasters, bandits, and the crisis of displaced people.
Funny drama 😂 I LOVE how the Little Prince keeps cussing the Emperor out in his head while the Emperor can hear everything 😂😂 Definitely recommend watching it!! ❤️
I second what MDL user [dawnraptor] mentioned below. Still, it was a decent show to watch. 👍I’d recommend it to viewers who want to watch the same plot set in a different era.
She's a good actress, no doubt. I just feel like she always has that "about to cry" look 😭 It works for some roles, but not all. Sometimes it kinda throws me off and the scenes don't hit as hard.
Still a good watch for me… this is my 3rd time watching it after a long while. Much better than the other two versions, in my opinion. 🥰
Personally: What a selfish, self-involved family like no other… especially the mother! I don’t know how many times I shook my head and rolled my eyes every time I watched it. Hahaha.
Story-wise, it was good. The concept of a traditional (ancient) counterattack against modern schemes was interesting, but the schemes were just too childish, and the schemers had no real oomph as villains. They didn’t feel intimidating or formidable enough to make the conflict truly compelling.
The only question I kept wondering about... 😅 was how no one got curious about how FL had been brought up. She was unfamiliar with so much modern technology, stuff, and even basic modern culture—yet somehow, no one seemed even the slightest bit suspicious or curious about it.
But I’d still recommend it for a casual, brain-off watch.

Drama Summary After time traveling, FL completely changed her past image of being a submissive, downtrodden woman. She transformed into a beauty who ruthlessly dealt with scumbags, not missing a single one. At a banquet, she instantly fell for ML, the son of a richest man. Determined to find true love for her body's original host, FL began a series of proactive strategies to win ML's heart.
Too many skinship flashbacks... I was excited to watch this drama because DQX and SHN were collaborating, but I ended up getting bored with all the flashbacks
The plot was honestly way too fast 😭 Everything just happened one after another that I barely had time to process anything..They really should’ve slowed things down and developed the characters and story a bit more. Feels like they were so focused on getting the plot to the next point that they didn’t really explore the deeper meaning or themes of the story. There was definitely more potential there, but everything just felt rushed.
This version is so much better. All of the characters feel much more lively compared to the other versions. ML is also far more active instead of just being a background character. The story moves at a much faster pace as well. While some plot points develop slowly in the other versions, this version has already covered them right from the beginning.
FL's father is so cute... lol. He may not be a good father, but he never comes across as a malicious or evil one. 😂
The only downside for me was the last hour. It got a bit boring
