I so resonate with your post because I have stacks of 8 mm reels to VHS to DVDs and at one point I was going to convert them all to DVDs. I started with my grandparent’s 50’s wedding celebration and saw my grandparents, parents, Aunts, Uncles, along with friends and family that are no longer with us. I simply couldn’t do it. I image my children will one day wonder who some of these people are. If they are even still visible 30 years from now.
In this case, grandma was showing a video of her son and daughter in law (who are both gone) celebrating the birth of her grandson. I am sure that was a bittersweet video to share.
