That kiss wasn't 'awkward first teenage kiss' that was 'Chimon looks hella uncomfortable kissing a dude'.
That's possible. I haven't seen anything else from the actor, so I don't know his comfort level. I saw it more as a guy who has feelings for someone for the first time, but gets kinda freaked out when he unexpectedly gets more than he asked for. I guess we'll see if he looks more comfortable in the future.
I'm proud of the writers for not allowing pining and misunderstandings to last more than half an episode. They paced the drama well and made sure it didn't weigh things down. Also, reading the comments, it seems like people have gotten used to perfect first kisses. This kiss was pretty realistic for two high schoolers who have presumably never kissed someone before, and one of them is caught off guard. π€·π»ββοΈ
Ugh, that was miserable. BLs rely too heavily on misunderstanding, but without making the misunderstandings plausible…
I think the misunderstanding was mostly cleared up until Yang realized he needs to keep Phumjai safe from the debt collector or whoever it is who's following him. Then he had to go back to pushing him towards Tammy for Phumjai's own safety.
So far I'm really enjoying that all the characters are at least slightly messed up in their own way. No one knows perfect, which makes the show a lot more believable than some other shows. Not that everyone in life is cheating and lying ruining their friends lives, but it's nice that they're showing us the different levels: lying, espionage, cheating. Some characters are way worse than others, but all of them can improve. Boston is top of the awful list though Haha
As far as excuses for being a terrible person, migraines are actually a decent one. I've known people whose entire personalities changed once they got their migraines treated properly.
I definitely saw hints that Pim liked Sailom because she always stuck up for him... but Kang liking Pim makes…
They hinted at it a bit at the beginning of the show when they noted that everybody thinks they're dating. I think it might be one of those situations where in Kang's mind they were inevitable, so he leaned into it. And maybe he's confused over his feelings for Sailom, and he is leaning even more into the thing with Pim.
I love how they're dancing around the real financial problem of this store. Right out the gate, they hired three full-time employees who all work at the same time instead of on a rotation. That's a recipe for disaster. They need to cut at least one of the employees and then put everyone on a schedule so they can keep the store open more hours per day. So far, this is the most unrealistic thing about the show π
Anyone else on the 'Everyone needs therapy and then Sand, Ray, and Nick can have a semi-healthy throuple while everyone else goes their separate ways' train?
I don't know why, but Kang's dad gives me bad vibes... Is he a mafia boss or something like that?
At first I thought that too, but now I think that the writers are doing that to make us see the dad through Kang's eyes. I don't think the dad is actually that bad (yet). We're so used to the wealthy guy's parents being criminals, and I think they're playing with that expectation. I could be wrong, but I think the dad felt a lot of pressure from his father to be successful, so now he doesn't want his son to feel the same pressure. I think he might actually be a good person who just wants his son to stay out of politics and business.
There has got to be a world record set in this show for the same word repeated over & over & over again. Know…
I definitely agree. I think they're doing that on purpose to make us just as over Tammy as Phumjai is. It's like some sort of pavlovian conditioning π
I might be speaking too soon, but I'm seeing a turn in BL's recently. First, Be my favorite, and now this one. It's like the writers have heard the discontent of the viewers and are making good characters with more depth to them. I'm excited to see what's coming next!
