What a great end to an all-around great show! I'm so proud of the writers for avoiding so many of the usual pitfalls we see in BL's. The ending was natural and not at all contrived - I hope this show does really well and proves that BL's can go in a better direction in the future and still be successful!
I really loved the character development and growth in this show! I know some people don't like any of the focus being on the side characters, but I think in this case all the side characters added to the personal development of the two main characters. Without their friends, they wouldn't have been able to be together. This is probably one of the best written, most cohesive the story lines I've seen in a BL.
My personal theory at the moment is that the dog doll is one of those where you can record a voice on it. The son said something incriminating about his father, then realized that the girl was there and recorded it. He tracked her down and hit her with his car so he could get the doll back and destroy it.
The son is clearly as unhinged as his father is, but I hope his bodyguard can get him out of that house. I want him to go to prison for what he did, but he shouldn't be getting beaten and almost drowned by his dad.
You can tell the writers have heard people's complaints about too much drama over small communication issues. They really had the characters sidestep so many problems this episode just by communicating clearly and openly. I have so much respect for the writers not using cheap drama to push through the last part of the series.
If I were the professor in that classroom, I would be telling all my friends about this weird guy who made an entire video about this other guy, and then they came back to class holding hands. That's the sort of drama teachers live for. How is Nara so beautiful?? I would love a show with her and Dream. They seem to be two of the most stable, down to earth characters. Why are we spending the last 17 minutes of this show with Saengtai going full on eat, pray, love? Who is this couple? Why are we getting a full back story when we're on a 15 minute countdown? Oh boy is Patts looking rough. And still slightly unhinged. He has never looked more like a sickly Victorian child. This story started out with an interesting premise, and they could have made it eight episodes. It would have been a concise, direct, and tight story without any of the peripheral stuff.
Is it just me that feels like Thai BLs have been lacking a lot this year? It seems like they are focusing more…
100%. One show that I think might actually pull through to the end and not ruin itself is Be My Favorite. Highly recommend if you're not already watching it!
I only watched episode 1, and I'm holding off on watching episode 2 until a few more episodes come out. I'm a bit disappointed because I was hoping that they would pick up the story a couple of years after season 1. The dynamic between the two characters hasn't changed at all, but I have my fingers crossed that there's a lot more character development in this season than last.
While I didn't enjoy episodes 10 or 11, this episode wrap things up pretty nicely. I would like to petition to change the title to "Two sad boys sit in a room and cry", because that seems to be the general theme. That being said, it was nice to see a certain amount of domesticity between the two since we barely had any of that throughout the show.
He didn't attack his partner. He attacked the guy who one-sidedly kissed his partner. Personally, I think it was…
While he didn't attack his partner this time, I've known enough people like that to know that their anger becomes worse over time when they don't handle it. Combine that with his very possessive behavior when it comes to Tai, and it just didn't sit right with me. It doesn't mean he's a bad person or that Lomfon didn't deserve his anger; it just means that he has a lot of room for growth in terms of how he handles his anger, possessiveness, and feelings of disappointment.
They were happy for like 5 seconds, just like Step by Step. Tai caused all of this by lying & allowing the lack…
I agree with your thoughts on all the characters! I do have to say, though, that I'm still enjoying the show specifically because they have much more complex and dynamic characters than a lot of shows do. The drama didn't come out of nowhere like it does in some shows; they foreshadowed a ton of this within the first few episodes.
Phat's anger is really worrying... Even if the emotions are justified, the physical outbursts aren't. I think all the characters need to step back and take some time to be single, but that's wouldn't make for good television 😂
It's smart of Pat to resign. He and Jeng clearly couldn't be chill at work, and now they have to face the consequences. Jeng can't be trusted to think logically when it comes to Pat - Pat is absolutely not cut out to be a manager yet, and I doubt 3 years of training will get him to where he needs to be. Somebody who's been at the company longer and who has much more experience should be considered for management. Maybe now that Pat has resigned, he can be Jeng's stay at home boyfriend ❤️
IKR! really i love pear so much that i wouldn't even mind if kawi ended up with pear and never falls for pisaeng.…
Exactly! I even think Pisaeng and Max could be cute - basically I just like most of the characters and will be happy as long as they're happy in the end.
It's truly proof that the industry can do better, they're just choosing not to.
