I kind of wish they didn't spend so many episodes getting us to know and love the He family only kill them all…
@Eve 100, @Frost_edelweiss, @Mikeyla, @lovehj: Yes, you are right to write that you need to re watch this drama with a more objective mind.
And this is what I am writing frequently as in my previous comments earlier; "to appreciate more a story, a drama or a playwright, one must have an objective mind"
While a student on Humanities before; our American Teacher always reminded us that "what is the use of discourses, criticisms of a certain drama when the mind is not on the objective side?" Can we rely the success of a drama on its "I liked it" opinions?
*** This is my first group on Discussions / Comments in MDL and I participated because I found that many are writing their opinions and outlook in an objective way.
*** However, one can still see subjective comments like: "I hated this drama . . Poor script; Director is dumb; scriptwriter is ignorant . . I cannot stand the FL, she's very annoying, she's ugly, the hairstyles . . and the worse is asking if the Producers and Directors here are blind to get this actress when there are beautiful actresses in China . .; and I only watched this drama because of the handsome actor or the Male Lead . .
Yes, we are entitled to our personal opinions on this drama that sometimes we are more of Judges and Jurors on what storyline should be, who should be the actress here and what should be the ending . . This drama might not appeal to everyone, but to give an preconceived options on it is inherently subjective
Being so subjective on this drama, we failed to appreciate and credit its filmmakers, its actor/actress, its crews, its songwriters and all the people involved in making this drama.
-- If we want to eliminate the so-called "toxic Internet fandom", we should encourage more discussion on what is the merits of this drama, on how the characters act and how this drama impacted our lives; not "I liked" , 'I hated", "I cannot stand", etc, etc . . .
--- And to insult the FL, not only on her character in this drama, but more so of her as a person due to her physical look is already a judgmental biases . .
Yes, we're with you; we're indeed crying for that heartbreaking scene, too. Jiuling's twin brother give up his…
I understand. Due to our very busy schedule, this is only the full length C-drama that I've watched this year and I could not imagine myself getting emotional on every episode; considering the melancholic sound of its OSTs - which makes me feel that my soul is drifting away.
So nice of Liang Jie to posted this drama on her Weibo account.
I see. Interesting to know on some details. And the only names I know from your details are Song Yiren and Wang Youshou. I have not seen other dramas, other than this "The Inextricable Destiny" and I don't a weibo account. ** I guess my life and my time is spend more on my work with the Legal Industry and in Books and Music ** Anyway, I am very grateful that you are here and to write to me this matter. Thank you so much.
So nice of Liang Jie to posted this drama on her Weibo account.
I see. Interesting to know. I know only very few Chinese actors and actresses. -- About 3 years in C-dramas, the most I can watch is 2 dramas a year. -- By the way, is this actress Liang Jie, a friend of WYS or SYR? She is a good person to share a drama on her Weibo account.
You have to watch to fully understand and enjoy the elements of this engaging drama!
It depends upon on you if you will watch or not.
As my American Literature Teacher told us: "An Epilogue is a concluding section of a story or play that provides closure or ties up loose ends. It is a final chapter at the end of the story that often serves to reveal the fates of the Characters of the Drama or Play."
Finished watching the satisfying end (EPISODE 27) that the production decided to add to this c-drama. And I have…
Such an interesting insights, eloquently stated! This is my first time to join such Group Discussion on this very engaging drama. And part of that is your untiring update on giving us more tidbits and information on the Beauty of the Culture of China, especially on the Historical Settings of this Drama. --- We owe you so much gratitude here. Thank you very much! ππ
Condensing the drama to 27 episodes compared to big dramas like Love like the galaxy loses detail, but itβs…
You're right . . A Reverse Psychology . . What is being said and written is not what they should be . .
"I really hated that actress, she is a disaster and the Producers and Directors are blind for getting her as the Female Lead and such a shame to be paired with a handsome Male Lead, etc . . etc . . " -- Typical words from a so-called "fanatic" who want to tear down an actress who didn't do anything wrong to them, except that she was selected and chosen to be the FL . .
--- I read an article before of Dylan Wang, a Chinese actor who was paired with Song Yiren in "Ever Night, Season 2"; he was interviewed for several times, with the question: "who is your Best Friend in the Chinese Entertainment Industry?"; for which he readily replied: "Song Yiren!" . .
Dylan Wang's reply trigger a multitude of hateful remarks against Song Yiren . . that one can think if these fanatics are in their right minds. (No wonder the word "fanatic" came from the Latin word, "fanum" which means a person with extreme beliefs or a mad person) "Dylan Wang is only suited for this so so actress, not fitted for Song Yiren, etc, etc"
My American Mentor once wrote to me: "One of the reasons I think Song Yiren is such a great actress is she can pull from her co-star what is needed in a particular scene". "She is able to elicit portrayals of pure love, pure concern, pure joy from whoever is paired to her. It's easy to act as a "lover" if you really have a love- relationship with your on-screen "lover." "It takes effort and skill to act that same way, and make it seem real, with someone who is just a co-star" And Song Yiren has the talents on this matter. No wonder why those so-called handsome actors are so comfortable working with Song Yiren . .
