The FL is just a highschool student and yes her family experience does matter how she behave because you grow up watching adults and how adults act most teens learn from them it's not her fault that she has a low self esteem it comes from her mother because she always puts the FL down to the point where she feels disrespected and useless eveyone has their flaws that they're insecure of, especially teens i feel like this kdrama is a good portrayal of how most teens act and about their insecurity. Her being bad gf, this is her first relationship no one is that good at the things that they first do you need time and experience.

not every characters are supposed to have a development, but that stil doesn't explain why you find them unlikeable you need to have a clear explanation and argument to say certain characters are unlikeable

sorry but this is a based on a webtoon manhwa kdrama so it's obvious that some things doesn't make sense, most webtoon action stories are like this, high schoolers looking old and fighting each grade and more brutal fights.
