A bum for an ML
ML is a poor bum who ends up living with FL cuz she provides him with shelter, food, and comfort. It's the only reason he likes her cuz she lets him do whatever he wants like chasing "his dreams." I don't see any romance here. I don't even get the feeling he truly loves her for herself. At the end, it looks like he liked her and chose to stay with her instead of the other rich girl cuz FL lets him do whatever he likes with his time. She was way better off with the other guy.
