I personally adore how their relationship is being portrayed, not just being all layed out in the open but its instead shown to us visually for us to observe and take in, it feels super realistic to me. I personally feel JW was avoiding JH mainly because he was trying to figure out his feelings and I think there is so much about him left to be discovered, by the talks he had with his therapist later on and I love that. I applaud this director and writing team not spelling everything out for us but instead giving the audience subtle things to really sink our teeth into.
I personally think he made that decisions to want to persue JH at the end of ep 3 by making that choice to take the train with him. That to me was the turning point, with him that's why it didn't feel confusing to me or frustrating they didn't "talk it out" I felt they both looked at each other and just knew what they both wanted and the doubts just disappeared for a moment. that scene was super powerful and with no dialogue. These two seem to just have that connection where they can almost just read each other's thoughts idk that's what it feels like...when they are together your just in their world and block out everything else its just amazing to me.. something about it just pulls me in like a trance I loved it
Its the way episode 4 was a fucking masterpiece for me
Just what is there to say, pitch perfect acting performances from every cast member, I absolutely adore what they decided to do with the whole Alan situation, it was such a superb direction to take, no wasted time, no wasted plots. Amazing exploration of generations and their outlook on the world and life, some amazing family dynamics between Jim and Li Ming that feel so organic and realistic, its balancing every character and story perfectly knowing when to give them time and how much to give them. I love an empathize with every single story and character.
I love this series, I really like how its showing two very different stages in life, the youthful side and precious first love with Gemini and Fourth as directly paralleling that to Earth and Mix's more complicated messy adult relationship. I love how its exploring both of these sides it makes the plot feel very relatable while I think many people may like one story over the other I feel both are amazing and extremely important to the core of the series. Also the entire Jim backstory was great im so interested to see how hes going to react after finding out about Alan, it is going to hit really bad for him im guessing due to this. Its gonna be messy, this was a truly amazing episode.
I love the visual storytelling here, this episode through the entire first part didnt have much dialogue and relied a lot on Earth and Mix's micro expressions and chemistry, he let the scene breathe and it was really stunning. I'm so in love with this first episode and the cast in this is already insane. LOVE LOVE
Is anyone elses besides me getting annoyed with MeMindY for the silence..they just announced this and we have heard fucking nothing. like i understand they wanted to make LITA first but I gave them a whole year and seems like they are doing a new project with not a word about this.. i dont need a trailer or anything id at least like confirmation if its still being made..
Gotta say this series just sufferers from too many characters...and not enough time to build them all up properly....especially with them showing the time passing, its going too fast for me to get settled into it..the opposite of what My only 12% felt like. I wish it was more focused on 1 or two storylines.. because some characters get nothing so I feel nothing. First though really was giving great acting this episode he's seriously improved a lot. But that for me cant really save this when i look at it critically, which is sad because i see the huge potential this series had at the start, especially with the Name character. I love how they had a character with selective mutism and i really wish they explored that with more depth..
Im just here to applaud the stunning camera work, production value and directing this series has. it doesn't get enough credit on how much care goes into it. I'm beginning to see how complacent these BL's are becoming on doing the bare minimum, having crappy audio, and weird editing but are fine with it because they know it will make money and get by because of the popularity of the actors. We really should be wanting more artistry and that's why I really like and appreciate this series, that entire ending scene with the one-shot camera was so well done.
You found it relatable that someone got LUNG cancer and none of her children noticed? My grandfather got it and…
no, I just don't want it hitting that point I know our minds aren't going to change the way we feel so I don't really feel the need to debate more on it is all. I respect your opinion and sorry you didnt feel the show was your thing
You found it relatable that someone got LUNG cancer and none of her children noticed? My grandfather got it and…
I guess that's your opinion I don't see it that way thorough those 14 episodes it wasn't straight crying there were plenty of moments of levity and comedic moments between the characters that's why I found it so relatable because many of the experiences eiw went through is stuff I did as a high schooler. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the story but no sense arguing over it because none of our minds are going to change on that.
I feel differently than the others saying the ending episodes being not needed, I think the strength of the series showing all the aspects of living life, the good and bad..moments of it, as someone who has lost someone to cancer last year I found this storyline to be extremely relatable to me and my personal experiences. That’s for me the series’s strength. There is sadness of death and there is pain from your friends leaving, that sometimes comes so quick we can’t even prepare for it, but we learn to adapt and live through it with the help of the people that love us. It’s a slice of life story. in my life I know I’ve cried as much as I’ve been happy, It comes with the joys and the sadness of living life and for me Earth acts his heart out and he conveyed those emotions so well.
Now that its over I can safely say this is now my number one favorite bl of all time and my favorite of 2022. I'm not ashamed in saying that, my mind will not change. This is the best acting I've seen in a BL drama period. Earth every time he cried I was crying, hes one of those actors that tugs right at my heart and just knows how to bring my emotions out right away, And Santa, for me was the absolute star of the series he literally has a very complex character to pull off for his first big role and he shows all of the complexity, and emotion right along with some of the best Thai actors in the industry, he for me is on the level of Gun and Seng, where he can truly act his ass off and it looks effortless. He is going to go places he is literally such a talent and blew me away The story was such a deliberately slow burn everything felt so earned and nothing felt wasted. I loved every minute and I'm going to be so sad to see them go. I tip my hat to everyone involved, I'm also so happy I started it, I saw it while watching an ep of Love in the Air one day and I never looked back.
i'm one of the "petty bitches". The fact that -i didn't like the show it doesn't mean you can bully me and whoever…
trust me you're allowed to not like a series I really dont care, if you actually gave it a chance watched it, and didnt care for it that's fine, im talking about the people who dont watch it and give it a bad rating on purpose because its higher, i know one low score review isn't going to knock it down that much it was clearly tons of people rating it low on purpose for it to drop from an 8.5 to an 8.2 in one day . Also im not gonna bully anyone I was just making a sarcastic funny post. im not gonna die over it dropping a few points lol i could care less.
This series is my all time favorite BL series ever put on screen, everything is working together so harmoniously, the growth, the character development, the chemistry, the music, the directing it’s all done superbly well. No drama that makes no sense, not hollow characters, no dumb plot points its just so well crafted. I have related to many things this series has covered so far from a childhood friend moving away to losing a family member to a illness and all of it has brought me back to those times with such clarity it’s brought out emotions I haven’t had watching a BL story in so long. Thank you wabi Sabi, thank you SantaEarth, thank you afterday for this gift of a series, it’s so precious to me I will hold in in my heart forever. I’m not ready to let it go
I’ve been itching so much for the new episode! I’m not ready for it to be over next week! Everything else I’m watching seems like trash in ccomparison 😭
I think whats so amazing about my only 12% is its passage of time, and how integral and important that is to its plot. some people think it’s boring but I 100000% disagree, without getting to know their past the episodes now wouldn’t be anywhere nearly as fulfilling as they are now. When they make love for the first time the end of episode 12 it’s so important and meaningful because they are fully crossing that line from friendship to relationship I legit cried it was so beautiful, I also love the pan up from them kissing to their childhood photo it’s showing them leaving their adolescence and taking that step forward with their relationship as a viewer we are so invested in them because we lived along side of them. So finally seeing this relationship blossom is so satisfying and superb! This series takes the audience seriously and expects us to take it slow and we were so rewarded for our investment! MASTERPIECE!
YESSS! This series for me has one of the best starts! it’s giving what I need!!! Wouldnt expect anything less from the We Best Love team!
I really appreciate how the director tries new things with the shots and the camera to make the scenes so fun, artistic and interesting to watch. Like the entire one shot was stunning and the transition to the horror scene was superb and that entire scene had such flow and energy! I remember that alot in we best love too that’s what makes this director one of my favorites!l his personal stamp is on everything he does. Like why don’t more BL shows do this? They be fine with the bare minimum..so when we get something like this I always applaud it
