It's a sort of metaphor because she can't tell him the truth. She's gifting him a clock to signify time passing and therefore him living more, sort of.

Yeah, it wasn't the happiest of episodes, but I don't mind..I like the trial and tribulations haha it will make them getting into a relationship that more powerful and captivating

Yeah, I don't understand why people don't like this episode. I for one loved it as it showcasted Hyeyoon's acting. The scene of her and Inhyuk in Seonjae's house is top notch, also her crying in front of Seonjae telling him to forget about her. Her eyes manage to convey a lot of emotion and you could really tell she loves him a lot, and doesn't want to do this, but has to let him go.
The other episodes were mostly focused on Seonjae, so I kinda liked how they focused on her feelings more here. Looking forward to episode 10. I really like the drama pace so far.
