I've only gotten to watch up to episode 5, but I'm loving it. So cute and sweet. The chemistry is chemistrying.
I think the only thing that was annoying in anyway was the youtuber person when she watched his videos and a bit of the professor's acting...but that is a common issue with Japanese dramas. For some reason there always has to be at least one person who has to yell and be shocked and so over the top that you think you've entered as slapstick sketch comedy show.
The medical inaccuracies and illogical investigation for the medical malpractice were too much for me. It makes no sense that the surgeon would be looked into but NOT the anesthesiologist who is responsible for administering drugs during surgery. If they are going to go to such lengths to move the story along from the jump, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to enjoy what else the writers come up with by episode 9 to cause even more conflict. Just not vibing with the writing. Yes, I know it's "just a drama" but when something throws me out of the enjoyment because my brain gets hung up on "That makes no logical sense" I have a hard time moving on. I can sometimes completely turn my brain off when watching a show...during this one for some reason I couldn't turn it off.
I like it but I'm skipping way to much.. Saint urks me also, idk why lol .. Something is missing, maybe because…
I feel like the direction/editing is causing a disconnect with the characters. Saint is the most relax and natural of the characters...so while everyone else is strung pretty tightly, he in comparison, seems laissez-faire to the point that it could be annoying/frustrating. The edit is focusing too much on him imo for such a shorten version of the story.
So many saying it’s boring- why is rated so high then ? 33 episodes are scary
It doesn't feel like 33 episodes. They have a very sweet slow building relationship that revolves around their shared interests. The music and scenery only add to the warm feelings between the leads. I was never bored when watching and always wanted a little bit more time with the characters. If slow burns or super sweet stories aren't for you normally, this might not be worth your time or effort. But if you need some fluff between heavier shows this is the perfect prescription. Just the first 3 episodes will let you know if it's going to be something you're actually interested in. I always try to give a show at least the amount of time it would take me to watch a movie to see if I like the writing, story, directing, editing style. Most of the time I know before hand if I'll like the actors, as they are the more heavily promoted people in projects. But the creative team is what makes or breaks an experience. I hope that if you do decide to watch that you enjoy it as much as so many of us have. And if you don't I hope that you find a show that scratches that watching itch. Happy watching.
I just realized that we are on episode 17 with 7 episodes left to air....I feel like so much has happened and at the same time nothing has happened. She's still plugging her ears instead of just listening. Like girly-pop if you just stare him down coldly it would have the same affect, but at least you'll know everything. I just want her to not interrupt him for once when he tries to tell her something. I know they are young, but plugging your ears while walking away saying "lalalalalal" is so immature. I know she doesn't want his words to hurt her again, but I would rather an ice wall than the childishness of making sounds to drown out what someone is trying to tell you. Queen of avoidance. Has he even been able to explain that he was in love with Dough Twist and was jealous that she liked someone? That he was so harsh on her in person because he doesn't like people who pretend to be one way, but are another(aka two faced)? That he rebuffed her in person because he was so interested in his online friend that it almost felt like cheating to talk to other girls? At this point he needs to pull a Mr. Darcy and write her a damn letter to get everything out in the open in one shot so she can't walk away and "lalalalala" her way out of his explanation.
Don't get me wrong. I'm enjoyed the flaws in my FL and ML...but at some point I'm going to need them to put their big girl and boy pants on and communicate like adults.
Am I the only one that feels that many of the comments AND replies below should be checked as spoilers? My platform…
For me, I sometimes forget to hit that little spoiler button if I'm on my cellphone and by the time I notice it wont let me edit it. There are those who if you ask will change it to a spoiler tag. But I have had people snap at me for asking them to put their comment in a spoiler tag. (no one has snapped at me in this comment section...it was a different show)
I've still only finished episode 1. I've been holding off on watching more as there was just something about the writing that I was struggling with. Lot's of plot holes/illogical things happening that were hard for me to move on from, as they were so early in the show. I like the actors in this one, but I just don't know if I'm going to be able to get over the bad plot/writing.
My only complain about this drama is the second couple, they made some weird choices for them! Why make the second…
Seems like they were added into the show and not in the novel. That's one of my pet peeves. If they just film/edit the show in a way that you get a better idea of the characters internal thoughts instead of making it super fast with everything happening all at once in places, you wouldn't need extra stories to flesh out runtime.
About to start this, kinda getting a Here We Meet Again vibe with a little Love o2o mixed in from the description.
Much more angsty than Love O2O. FL has a bit of an "I'm not listening" thing that makes misunderstandings last longer than they should. But I kind of enjoy the flaws in the characters of this one.
