What is apparent is that every thing is evolving at a rate that ML can no longer fully control. Finishing off YFS didn’t give the satisfaction he hoped for, loosing those he cared about damaged his spirit so much that he slept for 4 days! And now he has the ‘nation’ on his shoulders BUT does he? Tiemo king is relaying heavily on his understanding of them as kids, the disposed king has changed a lot, even if the doc was giving him information about them, it won’t be the same as spending time with them and ML surely has some hidden agenda, what happened to those that left GY and the ones he “killed” before going to the city?
I just know we would be left hanging and that would surely be a real shame.
i think as the plot has been through XHA's lens throughout , in first part we were all as invested as XHA in revenge…
I agree with @phoenix23. I think what we feel/see now is an anxious ML trying to find an opening in his GO game. Until now he was truly able to wiggly out/out fox and manipulate things until the killing of his sibling. But I think this new twist really shocked him. I also think 1 episode per day hasn’t helped the pace.
its hard to like and doubt any side characters they can either die anytime or betray at any moment.🥲
I felt the sister’s death could easily have been dealt with differently. For example, YF could have found another scapegoat and simply captured her since he, YF, seems sad to have had her killed. I didn’t think HZ’s death was a casual sacrifice, neither of them would have made it out if he didn’t do what he did. I do agree however, that the casualties are piling up and we are only half way😱

Am actually struggling with the whole ending. Too mismatched, from the parents arc to LQ and even the very end. Such a shame these dramas have a hard time finishing with a flare
Having dropped this a few times, am pleased I saw the light and picked it up again. It is good. The female characters are much more than just an excuse and though ML as an actor is not my favourite he is doing a fantastic job of conveying what I think is a tragic and troubled soul. Each of these DY,TBoY and this one are totally different in style. Well worth the watch. Looking forward to seeing how they wrap it up
I don’t have an opinion of her one way or another. I do not hate, which seems a strong verb and that would suggest that I am invested but rather I am intrigued by her and her possible motive if any.
Thank you all novel readers. That makes her character even more pathetic, if she was in a love triangle between the TLC and LY and is running around chasing the TLC. I understand that and please don’t quote me on this, that she is a ‘spy’ planted by LY.
