Real, true, beautiful love doesn't always involve physical intimacy. Trust me when I say the eye stares, and the unsaid words from this show mean way more to me than any of 'those' scenes in TharnType (no offence to that show. It's my fav go to BL).
But don't you think it is true love when someone waits for you for 13 whole years, hoping you'd come back even though you are dead?.... Honestly, don't let ppl hype it too much for you. I am afraid your expectations would soar to different heights.
So why don't you just give it a try yourself with absolutely no expectations from the show? Judge it for yourself. You're the best judge for you....
Remember, Walk in with NO expectations. That's one way to not get disappointed or too excited.
It is very slow paced in the beginning, so I suggest you to be patient until ep 17.... CGI is really bad but let's blame it on the low budget the drama had. But even with the low budget, they pulled it off very well.
And if you want BL content, then the book will satisfy all your needs and more XD
I am yet to watch the drama, but the novel is just plain ridiculous and I hate myself for liking it so much... but I do wish the drama Was a bl and a proper adaptation of the novel but I know that’s not the case sadly...

Honestly, even though it has amazing reviews, I walked in with zero expectations and I get why it is called addicted. I am addicted to watching this show. It's not THAT engaging, but its not boring either and I love what I am watching haha. I dread finishing it and wish it was much longer.

I have read about three fanfics (which were really well-written btw) but I'm not a big fan of fanfiction because I tend to read it as something fans made and not the author, hence is not a part of the original world. It doesn't have the same feeling, at least for me.... But I know. I have friends who keep sending me links to MDZS fanfics XD
Oh and I forgot to mention the insane number of FMV's I watched on YT..... Honestly, at one point of time, my recommended was filled with MDZS FMV's or XZ and WY.

Ikr.... The costumes and sets were perfect. Especially Gusu and Lotus Pier. They were BEAUTIFUL. But The Untamed actually had a very low budget. When you compare it with shows like Ashes of Love, it basically had no budget at all. But thanks to the amazing crew, we didn't notice it much.

Wuji is abt the beauty in life and about the entire book. And if u didn't know, each character has their own song dedicated to them. WWX has a song called Qu Jin Chen Qing that talks abt Lotus Pier and Wangji and Jiang Cheng, YanLi, Wen Ning and many others have their own songs. It's a beautiful way of portraying characters.

For me, personally, it's easier to read on dark mode. If there is no dark mode on an app I'm using, I tend to change it from white to paper colour on my phone because the brightness when the background is white hurts my eyes XD For each their own ig....
