Plot Over Logic
Someone planning something this big wouldn’t leave evidence in a hidden room and then let the housekeeper walk around the house freely. And that’s not even the most ridiculous part.
I also don’t understand why they would hide the girl in a place they already knew was connected to the guy who brings them strawberries. They knew he was from there so there was obviously a chance he could recognize her. If she really needs to hide, why send her somewhere connected to someone who might know who she is? Then she gets there and suddenly starts wondering if he’ll recognize her like that possibility had never crossed anyone’s mind.
In episode 8 that interrogation scene was ridiculous too. She’s supposedly ready to kill the guy yet she walks right up to him and presses the gun against his head, giving him the perfect chance to react. It goes wrong once and then she somehow does the exact same thing again right afterward. Making the same stupid mistake twice in a row just made the whole scene feel incredibly forced.
And these people are supposed to be insanely rich yet apparently hiring actual security never crosses anyone’s mind? No guards, no proper protection, nothing. With all that money and everything going on around them, you’d think professional security would be the most obvious thing in the world.
The whole thing about not being able to fire the staff makes no sense either. Even if for whatever reason they really can’t fire them, these people are insanely rich. Just move to another house, rent a different place or stay in a private VIP or presidential suite at a luxury hotel with proper security. There are so many obvious ways to solve the problem yet the show acts like staying in that exact house with the same staff is their only option.
The sister sends a hitman to kill her own brother. While he’s standing face-to-face with the FL, the hitman shoots him perfectly from a distance. Then instead of simply shooting the FL too, he suddenly starts running toward her with the gun like he’s holding a knife. She just stands there staring at him and only when she finally starts running away does he decide to shoot. Of course he misses. So apparently he can make a perfect long-range shot seconds earlier but the moment the FL becomes the target he suddenly forgets how to use a gun.
Then there’s the guy who supposedly gets caught red-handed even though he basically turns himself in while holding the gun. Apparently no one has heard of gunshot residue testing because they immediately treat him like he’s obviously guilty. The fact that they seriously arrest him based on that alone makes the whole thing even harder to take seriously.
They finally fire the housekeeper only for her to casually walk right back into the house like she still works there. And of course she immediately finds out the biggest secret in the entire show: the president is actually alive. Then later they try to play it off like being exposed was somehow the president’s choice all along. The show isn’t even trying to make these situations believable anymore.
At this point everything in this show feels so forced and unrealistic. The characters keep making decisions that make no sense just because the plot needs them to.
