Ok so this is not the worst. I actually really like it at the beginning but it kinda dragged a lot after episode 10 and a lot of non sensical stuff started to happened. I liked how the leads had a lot of date like scenes but even though their acting was good their chemistry was not there. I don’t know what the writers were thinking honestly. The entire cast’s acting was good, the friendship between the boy painters and the FL was great, they had Gong Myung who’s character I adored (please I need to see him get the girl in at least ONE DRAMA) and the premise was not bad but they turned it into a mess. The final episode picked up a little and was better than the previous ones but there were so many plot holes and loose ends. I guess they left some stuff out because they wanted to make a second season/spin off (I guess?) and I would be down to watch that if they did I feel there is something there. So yeah this isn’t the worst but it could’ve been so much better.

I’m on episode 14 so I’m not finished yet BUT boy this is a mess. A beautiful mess but a mess nonetheless. More thoughts once I finish.

Oh and I kinda love that the “final boss” was the soft spoken, son obsessed overly protective mother otherwise known as the chairwoman. Whom, till the very end, didn’t see what she did wrong.

Just finished rewatching and it’s still as good as the first time. If anything I think I enjoyed it even more! I’m surprised to find people saying it was boring/draggy when it really didn’t feel like it at all!! Honestly rewatching this made me remember that this drama is at the TOP of my favs. The actors were brilliant. Not only the leads but the whole cast. The relationship Dal Po had with his “father” was extremely cute and their chemistry was off the charts. But overall the characters are all fleshed out. Characters like reporter Song and Dal Po’s brother had complexity and were not your average black or white. And obviously Lee Jong Suk doing the lords job by doing the heavy lifting to bring the spark in the chemistry between him and Park Shin Hye (though she was fenomenal herself). As you can see I just LOVE everything about this drama. But I guess to each their own.

I’m literally at the half of the half of this series (ep 10 - 30 mins in) AND IM SO CONFUSED WHAT THE HECK?! This is my first time watching this but because this is such a popular series I've seen the posters and stuff and I've always been under the impression that the 4th prince and IU we're endgame but they don't look like it at all (let it be said that I thought the 8th prince was dreamy in the beginning but now I lowkey think he’s obsessed with IU now)?!? I'm bewildered by this drama and FYI I don't think the 4th prince is the one that'll end up killing his brothers. My money is either on the 3rd or 8th prince. I’m this close to spoiling myself to make sense of this mess.

The must skipped series to date. THE WHOLE THING WAS A CHEESY CRINGE INFESTED MESS. I don’t know how I managed to make it to the end. I must really REALLY love Park Hae Jin I guess. (And yes even in between all the cringe infested mess Park Hae Jin managed to pull off some very good acted scenes)

I’m on episode 8 and I’m trying really really hard not to drop this. The female lead is extremely unlikeable to me. Like most of the time I’m highly annoyed by her.

Choi Jin Hyuk‘s acting was definitely the strongest point as to why I liked this drama.He made me feel extremely sorry for his character and connect with him in a way that’s not usual for me.

I cant believe I was able to force myself into finishing this.

‪I just finished ep 8 of Romantic doctor, teacher Kim and I’m still kinda on the fence about it. i find Dr. Kim to be insufferable. The tough love speeches lost their meaning when half of each ep’s script is made up of “inspirational tough love speeches” that are aimed at drawing you in and pulling at your heartstrings making you wanna go “He knows what he’s talking about”. They did it at the beginning... now they seem lackluster thanks to their repetitiveness. Besides it seems to be the only way Master Kim actually communicates. Not gonna drop it though, I read the second half becomes more bearable and enjoyable.
