On Can This Love Be Translated? Feb 6, 2026
I was getting tired with the back and forth because bestie why are you making a fool of yourself like that and doing all that for a man that’s running hot n cold and can’t make up his mind. But after the ending of ep 7 I’d rather they go back to that stupid tug of war than whatever nonsense is coming next TT

I kept getting a sense of deja vu watching this and then I found out this is the same scriptwriter that did From now on Showtime! and it all made sense TT. The chemistry between the leads is superior here but the ending in FNOS while maybe a little bland was definitely better than whatever this ending was.

This drama is my guilty pleasure!! I love the main couple and the kids so much that I rewatch this entirely at least once a year (last year I watched it twice). Do I skip Sara’s parts? Mostly. Do I enjoy the sweetness of the main couple and the kids? ABSOLUTELY! I also lowkey enjoy the relationship between his sister and her brother! Everybody else can fall off a cliff for all I care! Except Lawyer Ko and the lady secretary who came to replace Sara. Dan Dan’s father is number one on that fall list btw I hate him (doesn’t help that the actor is royally BAD!). But the chemistry between the two main characters is just way too good for me to not like it. They ARE frustrating though but even that I enjoy. It’s a love hate relationship. I’m currently on my yearly rewatch and it still hits just as hard.

I feel like they were so close to perfection with this drama. The whole cast did an outstanding job, the direction, the fighting scenes, the sets, the cinematography and the ost. Everything was so good…and then you have the story. Sure it was not necessarily bad but there were so many convenient plot resolutions, rushed parts and some things that were not quite delved into. This drama was so rich with so many main players it could’ve done better with at least your regular 16 episodes. People who like fast paced dramas will like this but to me this story had much more to bite so it’s kinda sad it was cut like that. But truly what a beautiful and outstanding work.

This drama left me absolutely GUTTED. I cried every episode and it only got worst as the story progressed . Really if you tend to cry while watching series be ready to be run dry by the end of it. The story is too good. The acting superb. Everybody deserves an (several) award(s) from this. Actors, director, writer everyone gets a 100000% class note. You can tell this story was crafted with love and patience and that they were sure and true to what they wanted to do. It’s so good watching a series with intention and a story instead of just a money grab. This one will stay with me for a long time because this is obviously a once in a lifetime drama.

Ngl... I'm slightly surprised by the amount of downright BAD reviews and hateful comments for this drama because I enjoyed it? To each their own I guess. Though I kinda agree with some takes here. It's true this was too slow paced which I don't usually mind but since this was only eight episodes long everything was only superficially explored and rushed at the end. Netflix has no problem releasing nonsense dramas with 16 eps but this one that actually had a lot of things to explore only got eight? So yeah it ended up being a little shallow. Also that electro music was something? But I did love the chemistry between the leads and God bless them they really tried (and did) their best with was given to them. It's a shame people are not liking this.

Honestly I don’t even go here (meaning this is not my genre of choice) but this is worth your time 100% ! It had me at the edge of my seat each episode. The characters had depth, the fighting sequences were brutally intense and well executed, the actors were tremendously good at portraying these complex characters. They kept a good pace that maintain the tension. High honors to Ji ChangWook. his ability to play the role of a good cop losing himself a bit in the madness of it all was brilliant but honestly I never doubted his ability to pull this off, his chemistry with Wi hajoon was crazy good. Hajoon also did a magnificent job. Truly the whole cast did a great job. This could’ve fallen flat without the right cast and thankfully they picked right. So go watch it!

Title The Atypical Family Spoiler
Ok so I finished the drama just now, am so confused about the ending what happened to gwi ju and how did he miraculously…
Ok, so their child brought him back. The clue is in the conversation Do Da Hae has with the kid right before. She asks where did he find the ball he was holding in his hand since she spent all day looking for it and couldn't find it. And then he explains he went to the past and brought it back. Then after realizing that her son’s power is going to the past and bringing things to the present, she asks him to bring back his father whom she lost 15 years ago. So my guess is that right after gwi ju saved her, their kid appeared and brought him back. Thus saving him from the explosion and bringing him to the present.

Contrary to the comments I liked this. Maybe because I thought this was going to be wacky but it turned out to be much more grounded than I expected. The ost was very much atypical for a drama and it fit perfectly with the overall vibe of the story. I think this drama was a good step for Jang KiYoung's post-military acting career, at the very least I feel there's considerable improvement in his acting here compared to his past works. I liked the cast chemistry a lot and I hope to see more of the “samchoon”! I thought he was really cute and I was very surprised when I found out that apparently, the actor is the maknae of the family. Anyhow to me, this drama has been one of the good ones of 2024.

People complain about Shin Sae Kyeon’s acting, and then here I am thinking as I'm watching that this is the best acting I've seen from her yet. The issue here is that Jo Jung Suk is so painfully amazing with his interpretation that it creates a stark contrast between the leads. She was not the most advanced to begin with, I wonder whose idea it was to do her dirty like this. The story might not have been perfect but I've seen worst be very popular. if you had cast someone who could actually emote love as the FL everybody would be eating this up. The tension and chemistry I could feel from their scenes came entirely from Jo Jung Suk, she was too face-stoned to match his energy. Sometimes it felt as if JJS was doing too much with facial expressions to try and get something from her T.T But that's the thing about her I never even know if she actually likes the people she's working with. I like to believe she does. All in all she did the best she could, but JJS deserved better.

Title Tale of the Nine-Tailed Spoiler
Took me three times to finally finish this piece. Third time’s the charm I guess. I started it the day it finished airing back in 2020 and dropped it for lack of interest, tried it again last year to no avail and finally this year I was able to make it to the last episode. Huh this rating is way too high for what I just watched. The whole drama circles around this epic love story that transcends fate, destiny and time but somehow there was something awkward between Jo Boah and LDW? to me they felt comfortable with each other and they did have chemistry but there was just something awkward about them...I can’t put my finger on what it was but from all the other couples theirs paled in comparison. Now the familiar relationships? All INCREDIBLY WELL DONE...except maybe from Jia with her parents. what was that about? Once they came back they barely appeared again? I think they were shown more when they were missing. Sadly The story looks nice from afar but when you get closer and start poking everything comes terribly undone. But Lee Rang made it all worth it.

I’m not even surprised anymore. this started so so good only to end in disappointment. It had everything to be great but they fumbled the bag terribly. Netflix, what is going on with your dramas? This is not my first drama from them that suddenly after the leads get together everything becomes secondary (if they are not send to oblivion) and the whole thing revolves around the couple with no care for the plot lines that were presented in the first couple of episodes.

I just finished episode three and I had to come on here on a little rant because I am so mad!!! I am livid!!! GilChae is the ONLY REASON they are even alive! She is the reason they have clothes on their backs! they owe everything and anything that they have and will have to her. I lost track of how many times SHE saved THEIR sorry bottoms and nobody…NOBODY could go and save her from that hell?!?! It gets even WORSE because that stupid AF husband not only DOUBTED her but also LEFT HER BEHIND?! Girl I was crying tears of anger for her. I need to get inside my TV to wring some necks and throw some punches. If the situation had been reversed we all know she would've stopped at nothing to save them. GilChae is literally their breadwinner, she was so reliable through it all AND FOR WHAT?!? For everybody to FAIL HER LIKE COWARDS. AHHHH

Title Doctor Stranger Spoiler
I'm on ep 11 and honestly, I don’t see the chemistry between Dr Oh and Dr Park. I mean if anything it looks…
I may be biased because I’m a Haejin stan but I liked JaeJoon’s story and character arc more than anything else. It was not the most original but Park Haejin acted the heck out of every single scene he was in and it had a satisfactory resolution. So did Lee jonsuk but I had a hard time relating to his story. It’s been agreed that the FL was eaten up by the 2FL and let’s be honest the entire cast. She’s the only flaw in an otherwise well rounded cast. I was entirely frustrated with the 2FL though I kept screaming at the screen RESPÉTATE y GOBIÉRNATE! Because I know some people think she should have been Park Hoon’s endgame but I never saw it character wise. The actors though? Crazy good chemistry. All in all I would watch again only for JaeJoons story.
On The Killing Vote Jan 2, 2024
I have so many things to say about this drama but the most important is: This is not bad at all!!! I feel SBS killed this with the constant delay in releasing the eps especially because it was one ep per week at that. This is the sort of show that needs to keep the tension momentum building but because of the delays, it fizzled out. So do not mind the rating this is a solid 8.5 to 9.0 rating. There were some things that I did not like for example Muchan and Joo Hyun were the perfect tag team but during the second half, they were nowhere near each other. Jiyeon And Haejin had crazy good chemistry. Honestly, this trio were absolutely fire together which is why I don't get why people keep saying this is bad. The writing may not have been ideal in some parts but the actors were ACTORING. I don't know if this is an Amazon show thing, this is only my second time watching one after Island so I may be wrong, but why do they feel the need to rush through the ending so they get to have enough minutes to hint at a -let's be real- highly unlikely second season. Besides
that, I don't think the ending is bad, and -THAT- death didn't feel that unnecessary. Was it FAIR? no. Did I cry? Absolutely YES. Did that person deserve better? OF COURSE. But I think that the main theme of this show was injustice and SADLY we got that right to the bitter end. And I like that because it made us feel exactly as Kwon Seok Joo: WRONGED!
