Kdramas have become repetitive that’s just the truth between melodramatic revenge dramas, thrillers that run the same plot and romances that become quite stagnant nothing really stands out anymore now bare with me as I make this comparison. Chinese dramas on the other hand have something special not to say there’s no flaws especially with long episodes, blocking creative difference and such, the reasons why cdramas I believe are flourishing is because of how creative they have to get to get around bans, they have wuxia/Xianxia plots that are soooo for the girlies who love fantasy and romance all that angst BUT they also have modern dramas that are fresh compared to kdrama modern romance dramas which always feature one type of setting we have cdramas spanning the career world: aerospace engineering, firefighters, military, and many more that I cant quite remember right now. To be honest I’m not really a fan of modern dramas nowadays especially when it comes to kdramas cause as a long time drama watcher I know the plot like the back of my hand but cdrama modern dramas intrigue and draw you in whether by featuring a profession and a part of life you never really thought about or by introducing old tropes in new ways. Kdramas will always have a special place in my heart but I fear it’s time for a new direction.

Just saw the trailer for this on YouTube and definitely excited it’s giving me extracurricular and hierarchy vibes still annoyed about extracurricular being cancelled but looking forward to this!

THAT'S IT?!! episode 36 went by so fast I blinked and the ending credits were already playing... but I love this little arc where we get to know duke su's past, some people have complained about the pacing of this drama but I feel like all the episodes tie together and the pacing is just right although I do feel that ep 36 felt a little filler-ish to me it was still good. I don't know what to do with myself when this drama ends

I find myself in a hypocritical state after cursing shen yurong to death here I am feeling pity for winning lollll but in all seriousness, I just feel like my pity for winning is warranted yes she probably might have already been a psycho but who's to say she would have gone the full psychopath torture chamber route if she hadn't experienced what happened to her in dai county, as for shen yurong I always say this, this man had a choice! no matter the way it's framed there are a lot of ways he could have gone about xff situation, could have faked her death, told her what was happening, and discussed it together as a couple etcc... but no the man just straight up went and killed her and then blamed it on wanning's power and his lack of, he's a coward and that's the point of it all. Anyways still waiting on both their downfall though!!

Mentioning dramas getting worse than naming those 3 dramas is crazy to me. I understand LBFAD and maybe even love like the galaxy but LYF???! Please don’t make me laugh, the harem dramas with a cliche plot is your deciding Scale of what’s good? At least mention a drama like JOL or New life begins. As someone who’s been watching C-dramas all of them recently have been trash! Maybe a few exceptions please don’t mention LYF when talking about good dramas it’s embarrassing. Also the double is a Wuxia even leaning on fictional historical very different genres than what you mentioned.

I cant believe the former husband he could smack his wife of years with a shovel and bury her alive but can’t take out the wretched ass bitch princess men truly will be men. As for yan chao Yue’s character I think this is the first time I actually enjoyed her in a role she played I really wish she didn’t end up dying but I know it’s to move the plot forward. Okay on to the next episode🫡

Just watched ep 1 and I’m in love with it, plus the hair down and outfits already earned this drama a 8/10 from me. Although I love the male lead and honestly he’s playing the character well I can’t help thinking how Leo wu would have been perfect for this role but nevertheless a great start to a drama.

If you haven’t noticed this is a comment section, now I don’t know if you’re aware of what it’s to be used for but I’ll give you a simple example it’s to make comments about what has been posted. Moving on, 1.) I dont think it says anywhere in my original that I was dropping I simply said I couldn’t handle the misunderstanding to come so I would revisit it. 2.) I don’t dislike it, I’m actually a usual watch of xianxia it’s still one of my favorite Chinese genres but yes sometimes I get tired of the misunderstanding trope that I know will be come. 3.) ofc AJTL and TLI aren’t comparable because their two different genres and styles I simply said since I was seeking communication I was off to watch it, why would I compare the two? I’m not gonna lie I turned it off once I saw him mistake her for the bird girl in the first 10 minutes. I decided to choose peace and I honestly don’t think I have it in me to watch 10000 years of misunderstanding because they have the same dress, not to talk about the love triangle that I know is loading up in the upcoming episodes. I might revisit it after it’s done but for now I chose communication and peace so off too AJTL🤣🤣

From what I can tell as someone who just finished ep 1 is that the ML is the son of the brother to the emperor that was killed in the beginning. The cui family was loyal to the emperor but they felt that the crown was always slack with the way they ruled so they think they can do much better which is why the ML and FL aren’t really ally’s cause the cui family wants to rule while the ML just wants to find the grandson of the crown prince that’s all I understand for now
