loved this overall, but inn end i am shocked because Mo Tae is being murdered by his co patients
I first thought that it was his imagination as in his previous victims mentally torturing him, but seeing how she said that he was killed by some other patient, perhaps there is something dark there that they still haven't discovered.
This is one of the best dramas I have ever seen after Ghost. That's all I am going to say. The only reason why this comment is marked as spoiler is because I read at the end that it was based on true stories, on the stories of all the victims that weren't able to be saved during golden time. Anyone has more info on this?
others have posted about this too, so it seems i'm not the only one noticing the inconsistencies in missing…
I agree. Too many inconsistencies. A survival show, but damn, everyone's hair looks amazing. Also, they ALL survive? No fractures? Except Yeol? They find all luggage? Wow, I didn't notice but was the luggage branded? Because if not, someone missed out on one hell of an advertisement: "You might not survive a plane crash, but your luggage will! Waterproof! Take care of your clothes first!" -.-
If you are expecting romance - this is not it.
If you are expecting fast-paced and exciting storyline - this is not it.
Leave your expectations aside and watch this only if you are interested in seeing how big fish aka rich people use and abuse money as well as connections in order to manipulate a situation in their favor.
It's hard to explain what was going on in this drama, and I have to admit that I watched mostly because of the amazing fashion. The power struggle was fun to watch, but the execution of the drama and the pace were definitely off. Nothing groundbreaking happened and I felt as if the story never culminated. It was just one straight line. Things just happened like they do in real life - real life might actually be more dramatic than this story.
The behavior of the actors felt so stoical. Lee Yo Won struggled to create a very manga-like cold character that says memorable lines whenever she opens her mouth. Uee's character felt empty, void of any qualities that could have made her appealing (I am a fan of Uee, unlike many people, but I couldn't warm up to her character). Jung Hae In's Tak was probably the only one who evoked feelings in me, but those feelings might have been the result of his handsomeness. I feel biased. I cannot comment on that. Jin Goo felt like a pushover. I don't know if I am used to seeing him in more active and charming roles, but till the end, his character made me yawn and skip parts.
I watched till the end because I was curious, but like the entire drama, the ending felt flat.
I've heard many negative comments about the last episodes, like "it's confusing and it's not as good as the…
I wasn't one of the people complaining that the drama was boring because honestly, it's far from boring. From my point of view, the problem is that it has a disrupted flow and everything feels like an after thought. Like the writer made one mess then tried to fix it, but ended up making a bigger mess and so on and so on. I like the unpredictability though. It's like "Hmm what are they going to come up with next that will not make sense but will surprise me?" The acting however, is superb!
Okay...so the main antagonist was too simple for me. Jealousy, obsession and inferiority complex are just too conveniently packaged together in his character to make us hate him. For me, a good antagonist is one that can make me feel bad for them and make me want to understand them. Also, the open ending perhaps is there to leave space for a second season, just like they did with Vampire Prosecutor, but I wasn't really that interested. I am not saying that I wouldn't watch a second season, I am just saying that I am not dying for one. Lee Joon, btw, did a good decision to become an actor. He is great!
sry but personally i think vampire prosecutor is wayyyyy better <3 it'll always be
Try not to compare it (although part of the OST is the same ^^) . I am watching it thinking it has nothing to do with Vampire Prosecutor. I do wish they would film season 3 though...
Woow... Baek In Ha... seriously. It's hard to create a character with so many mental problems all at once. I like how Lee Sung Kyung is portraying her. At first it was over the top, but then it became emotional and raw. I think the main episode will be a bit rushed, but still looking forward to it.
This drama would be very good if they focused on all the female characters equally. At first it looked as if though they were going to do that but after episode 7 somehow they focused on the main couple and they made them...mushy. I can't explain it; it just feels disappointing.
