I had zero expectations going into this but it is honestly amazing. The previous MeenPing series weren't very good so I'm glad they finally got a nice script. Ping's acting seems to have improved although some of his facial expressions are still quite... questionable π I really like the character of Coach Ton with Chogun being very similar to his younger self. The basketball aspects are also portrayed in a fairly realistic way and for once, the people can ACTUALLY play the sport, which is obviously a breath of fresh air π
Same. The kisses are so cringe I actually skip the parts π₯²π₯². It looks like he doesnβt even try anymore.…
Exactly! I am actually DREADING their bed scene next episode. If Phuwin's technique doesn't change it will not be a joy to watch, which is a shame, really, considering how good they were in NLMG..
Phuwin baby, I'm sorry, I love you but did you forget how to kiss since Never Let Me Go? It's nothing major and it doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the series and all the couples but I just can't help but notice it, when him and Pond had such great kisses in NLMG and here Phuwin just closes his mouth and presses it against Pond's lips.
The beginning of the first episode was hysterical and then, not very smoothly, we moved into the dread and difficulties surrounding entering the job market and finding your purpose in life. I'm confused what vibe they'll be going for cause reconciling the two will be difficult but I will keep watching regardless and let's hope for the best!
I don't know, maybe I'm just fucking deaf, but 4 episodes in and I still don't notice all the 'annoying sound effects'. People really be actively looking for things to complain about. Just sit back and enjoy the fluffiness!
People really make this series out to be waaay worse than it actually is. The boys are portraying their characters well, supporting cast is also slaying, the sound effects are unnoticeable unless you're actively looking for them, they're staying faithful to the original and actually adding scenes which didn't make the Japanese version. Chemistry might not be as great in MSP, yes, but it's still good, and it will improve as Kongthap realizes his feelings, that I'm sure of.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Kongthap is SUPPOSED to be expressionless and cold all the time - that's how the character is in the manga!!! It's not Gem's bad acting, but actually the opposite - he's portraying it very well
Most likely a very unpopular opinion, and most likely biased because I'm struggling to overall like this series,…
He's supposed to feel like that lmao His character literally says he can't express emotions properly. In the manga, and the adaptation as well, Kongthap and Ida(I think it's his Japanese name?) are both seemingly cold, not very expressionless people. I think Gem pulls it off so well, that people like you who don't understand the plot and characters well are fooled by it. He will definitely grow to be more expressive and his and Fot's chemistry will both improve
Fang is the older brother. def cringe, I skipped those scenes directly.
I also thought the scene was a bit off, but for other reasons. I think it was very affectionate and personal, so it didn't sit well with me that they were talking in such a public place.
I am baffled by the amount of negative comments here. I get that it's a matter of preference at the end of the day, but I don't see anything THAT obviously bad in the production, acting, or music. Yes, the ads are annoying but it's GMMTV, so y'all should be already used to it. The music is nice, acting and chemistry equally so, and they represent the original quite faithfully. I really liked the Japanese adaptation and this is a competent adaptation in all regards. Not mind-blowing but definitely not as bad as people are making it out to be. As comparing is inevitable - yes, I enjoyed the Japanese one more, but we're only 2 episodes in so let's not rush to conclusions.
You're doing god's work man. With how many BLs are airing at the same time, it's really hard to keep track of each of them. I've been using your list for a long time already and thought I should say 'thank you'!
I feel like the episodes aren't as eventful as they were in the beginning. There is just a few highlight scenes and a lot of filler. I'm not really complaining tho, as there was a LOT of WinnySatang today π They are literally the cutest and they could be just sitting in an empty room for an hour and I'd still watch it π
