I think it ultimately comes down to her feelings. Honestly, I would be pissed if the one I wanted to marry after going through hardships decides to leave me right before our wedding. Like couldn't he have waited a bit longer? But then again, LBY's POV. He snapped. All his thoughts were clouded with revenge so he couldn't think straight. Whether or not she should forgive, in my opinion comes down to what is more painful (or important to her). Letting go of the hurt from being abandoned and moving on to a hopefully better future with the one she loves. Or wallowing in agony to punish them both.🤷🏽‍♀️

I don't think his father didn't love him. We can see at the beginning of his memories that he is clearly affectionate towards DFQC. I think what made his dad act that way was because they were losing the war and he needed his son to become a heartless monster to clear out all the enemies.
