I cried when he never understood Ye Xihu`s hatred towards him...the way she would crumble his heart into pieces. The way his eyes always screamed at her "Why???!!!"
At the eventual resolution of him being done with her: swearing to avenge his pain and make her taste his hatred if his affection meant nothing to her. That scene in the dungeons to this days gives goosebumps to my skin all over. Tantai Jin & Ye Xihu...they are the most epic on-screen couple ever!!

For him that hug meant that he stood no chance to ever win her heart- added to the way she also lied to him about the phone. He was on his way to her to ask for forgiveness over hitting that jerk at the double date. He sees them on the roof and he knew in that moment that it was NOT the first time Ren & Gorya had been seeing each other on that roof-and he knew Gorya still had feelings for Ren.
Thyme is the replica of the very iconic but controversial Tsukasa Domyjoji. He is supposed to be violent and lose his mind and control over emotions, because he has no idea how to handle them.
This is the curse he was grown up with. To see him get rid of that curse you need to watch the rest of his story with Gorya and F4.

He knew he would lose his soul if he fought back, which is what he tells Gorya at that moment. That is such a huge step as well in his redemption arc.
Then we have the "lame" apologies. Thyme got down on his knees. This mighty,powerful former tyrant humbled himself infront of all his victims. How can that be looked upon lame? Most bullies are so ego-drunk they never apologize to anyone. It is something to admire Thyme for, not frown upon.
Next huge part is him releasing the evidence HIMSELF for the whole world to see. THAT is a huge part that the writers wanted to convey. This consequence of actions, with Thyme opening the door to the ultimate punishment himself. Being ready to take on the responsibility of his hideous past.
Talay by then knows the person Thyme has become. He knows he himself is the cause for another never ending circle of violence. What is needed in this society for the circle to end when the other part has showed this much regret over the victim. Forgiveness. A social commentary on how also unforgiving our society can be. "
One concept i find fascinating about this drama version of BOF is the Race against Time. We see it in the way Thyme & Tia talks about it in ep 3. Thyme has not much time left until he turns 18. Until he has to become adult and take over this huge legacy. Even his song, "Nighttime" speaks up about the Time symbolically, and the clock tower. The moment where he gets stabbed in ep 15, and the song Nighttime ending the ep with "As if the clock stops ticking"

I remember seeing the trailer for the first time before it even aired in 2017 and i just knew this lakhorn would be a popular hit. Slap-kiss of these sorts always create this intense chemistry between the main-leads because hate & love are strong emotions.
I love this lakhorn with all my heart and think Yaya & Mark awesome actors, so awesome because in real life they don`t have any of that sexual chemistry, Mark always treats her as his sister and Yaya looks up to him as a brother...i am just so amazed by this talent they have as on-screen costars! Wow!

His humanity was at stake here. It makes it even more painful and bittersweet. He had rather face death at this point than go back to the awful monster from the past.

Even with the costumes and the Honeybadger. No scene is at waste.They waste nothing and used everything they have to make this show as great as possible.
Not only is Thyme`s and Gorya`s love-story like Beauty and the Beast, but also Eros and Psyche. So much greek mythology going on in this story with F4 being these godlike celestials from the sky.
And Gorya is their shooting star, also destined to become a goddess.
