Just give it another chance if you really like and have no problem with slice of life dramas , trust me it gets…
Thank you, but there are dramas at the moment that are so enchanting from the get-go: The Story of Park Marriage Contract, My Demon, My Man is Cupid and not as good but very watchable as the Matchmakers and the recently finished Moon in the day. I was hooked from the first ep, instead hereI am ep 4 and still finding a reason to keep watching.

He’s portraying someone shrewd and canny who acts loud and brash to subvert other’s expectations. Even knowing…
thank you, yes! I actually like his character very much, it is quite multilayer as you said.

Well said Yani, thank you for your comment.

This is not for me, I reached episode 4 and I cannot stand more repetitive flashback (how many times do we have to see the same scenes that are the reason why she is back in the Island) shouting, cheesiness and annoying characters, and I even have fallen asleep through the episodes because it is so lacking in originality. We have seen other good K dramas about "happy village life", Hometown cha cha comes to my mind but despite the sound performance of the cast and the great sisters' rapport, the oldest being my favourite, the dialogue and the flashback are so repetitive and how many times do we have to watch the same dynamics of the CP repeated in different years, it is all the same!!! but the shouting of the FL is the worst. Could anybody please tell me if there is something redeemable about this series and that I should persevere? Why people have rated it so high???

Is this good and worth watching? Honest responses only please.
Not for me sorry, a total miss. I started watching and by ep 4 I cannot stand the cheesiness, the shouting. the central characters are deeply annoying

what are the rumours about him? I do not follow celebrities' gossip. I only watched K dramas a lot. In this particular series, I found him a tad robotic, and other people have done the same comment, but he is OK, he is adequate. I am looking forward to the second season.

Yes, one of those terrible ones. Atrocities have been committed in the world by the so called people in power and weapons and are still happening. Who ever the perpetrator is and whenever in the history of humanity happening all are condemnable and shameful. In the XVI century when Spain/Portugal invaded what is now the territory of Central and South America they wiped out entire indigenous populations, it is estimated that only 30% of people survived in the stronghold of indigenous people e.g. Mexico and Peru. Some died due to the "exported diseases" but a significant number to murder, torture, and abuse - some committed "for fun" and "experimentation". This led to another abominable situation: the trading of African slaves to The Americas. I am not questioning the terrible events that are the framework to this fictional series but I strongly disagree with the person who made the comment that innocent people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki deserved to be bombed to pay for the war crimes of their army/government. This thought lack compassion and humanity. If you see the number of likes in my message, a lot of people thankfully agree with me. Your train of thought lacks humanity and empathy toward innocent people, apart is a very partial view of the world. Have you read how the US sprayed Napalm over whole villages in Vietnam leading to the horrifying death of people living in those villages? They were also "experimenting without anesthesia" in a very large scale! So, the whole US deserve to be bombed, is this what you are saying?

What @Assassin Wench said and also both Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany did experiments btw
Exactly, I am glad you say it!!!

So following your logic, even an innocent baby or child should paid for what a criminal adult decides to do. This is precisely the logic that has led to the genocides that happened in the past and that are happening at present because people with power decide that a whole group of people in a country, or practicing a religion of belonging to a race "are bad" so it is alright to exterminate them. You should feel embarrassed to come to a forum of a fictional drama to comment on such things.

You should be ashamed of coming here and saying this, no civilian population deserves to die for the crimes that their governments and military people commit. They were babies, children, elderly, women among the dead, and for generations, children were born with malformities. You should delete your post if you have any respect for humanity. The atomic bombs are a shameful episode in the history of humanity

In your honest opinion, how does the writing quality compare to Kingdom? I don't mind if it's slow, or if there's…
This drama caught my attention immediately so I binged watch. It has a sound cast and, touching performance by FL, still not convinced by ML but it is OK. If you can stand the bit of horror scenes, I highly recommend it.

Now that I finished the first 7 episodes, this show is so intense and I find the girl an amazing FL. I feel there…
I think because Han So Hee (FL) performance is so heartfelt is in contrast with Seo Joon (ML) at moments robotic acting, this makes me feel that the CP is not firing enough it is adequate but that's all. Having said that, I am also looking forward to see that relationship develop further. I think it has potential.

This is a gripping drama from the beginning to the end. Based on terrible historical facts that serve as a framework. Some of the scenes are horrifying, so it is not for the faint-hearted. Sound performances from all the cast. Han So Hee (FL) is in fine form here delivering a powerful emotional performance and lots of action. I am relieved as I do not always like her performances. She was very convincing in My Name but awful in Nevertheless, though in that drama the script was so poor and the CP a miscast. The quality of this drama is superior instead. His pairing with Seo Joon (ML) is ok, and Seo Joon is ok too but that's all. His performance always reminds me he was in What's wrong with Secretrary Kim, and that's is a downside for me. He was great in that romcom, but this is a different character so it should be portrayed accordingly.

Reading the comments here, I guess this will be added to my guilty pleasure drama list 😭
I would not use the word pleasure in this case it is quite horrifying at moment

A very poor women's role/value here, and no chemistry between the CP. Very forced narrative I truly disliked this series.
