I am so impressed by Dong Yoon performance in this series. He is required to be both a dramatic and a comedy actor and he shines on both. He is such a committed actor. He has a great partner in Joo Myung (FL) amazing performance too. Dong Yoon has been lucky this year with two very good series, this one and My Man is Cupid with Nana (FL), both his CPs portrayed very strong and determined women and have great chemistry with him. It feels this series has a slow start but actually we are presented with many elements in a subtle way that it takes a while to get into. I recommend this series, it is a rewarding watch.

She said in ep 16 "I do not like you that much, but you are convenient" (it is all depends on the translation, but where I watched it was translating like this) but agree with you, I think he has feelings for him and it is clearly that they sleep together

She said he is convenient, but I am sure she can get any "convenient" man she would like and is more deserving than her. This drama has such far-fetched points in the storyline for easy melodrama

This series has all the elements to be fabulous, yet it is not. It is entertaining, but it does not spark. My favourite part was the ML reciting Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Love in the Time of Cholera :-). This has been the highest-rating drama of the ML Ki Yong. He is one of the most gorgeous K actors but his acting is almost unidimensional here. There is not a strong chemistry with his CP (Hye Ri) and chemistry cannot be replaced with cheesiness. He is a much better match with his lover in the Joseon era beautifully portrayed by Jung So Min (Alchemy of Souls). The second FL Ha Nan has also an excellent rapport with him. Bae In Hyuk, the rival ML does a good job. At present, we can see him as the ML in the Park marriage contract, well deserved. What I didn't understand is why they casted such old actors as university students???. K industry is full of decent young actors, but the best friend of FL looks like her mother!? Despite I fast-forwarded all the main CP cheesiness (which was almost the totality of the last 4 eps), in general it brings joy to watch it for the plot and all the other characters.

Do people in China know the expression "clean cut" with your exes? I am in ep 16 I cannot believe that if you break up with an ex they don't get it, like the man who is cheating with the partner but still want the FL and even the woman who left the ML to marry another person donkey years ago appeared to seek accommodation in her ex-in laws house and expected the ex to have responsibility with a child that has nothing to do with him? I am sure that this is a total misrepresentation of relationships in China, but just in case I am going to ask my Chinese friends living in China :-P

This series is a great representative of the Yaoi genre. I really like every single episode and I don't understand the low rating here (in platforms like Viki and elsewhere is over 9!!!) the shallowness of some of the comments only based on the physical appearance of the two leads is so ridiculous. Arata and Nao, the CP actors, know each other since they were kids and were happy acting together. I highly recommend this BL.

Not a bad effort but for me the only exciting part was the managers' bed scene, it would be great if those two actors have a BL of their own!

This K BL does not deserve this bad rating (considering that are such awful lame Thai BLs with higher rating). The plot is interesting enough and I think pretty Eom Se Ung is the sweetest as the delivery boy (these days we can see him in My Man is Cupid). Bum Jun delivers on his first acting experience and chemistry with Se Ung, nice enough kissing here, but the casting of Suk Young as a "top model" is the worst of this BL. We know the standard of beauty and talent in the K model industry and this guy does not score in any of those. It is painful to see him trying to act and worse trying to model. Another series almost ruined by bad casting. I disagree that the storyline does not make sense, it does, it is about a guy with ambition who used a naive boy, and dumped him and he is generous enough to forgive him. This is basically what this BL is about

Agree with people who commented before that the storyline was not bad, but the graphic violence and sex have the contrary effect, instead of supporting the storyline weaken it. The characters were so disgusting, the female lead included. The only that I understand his intention and reasons for being is the former lover. This character was the most rounded. The ending that tried to be cryptic is ridiculous, the whole film we know that the former lover was the father I not even have to hide my comment as spoiler, the boy was born prematurely and the former king could not have sexual intercourse since before marrying the female lead. It was said clearly. so what was the reason she has to be so cruel?

I think it is clear was from his former lover because it mentioned the King could not have sexual intercourse (and not just because he was poisoned in the last year) apart everybody claimed that the boys was born prematurely but she was so cruel that it did not even give that consolation to his former lover when he was dying despite by poison.

I have seen a trailer that the ex wife comes back with a child (I guess not his) but who knows how that it is going to play into the storyline

I really don't understand why you come here to insult the majority of viewers with such an obnoxious misogynistic comment. If you don't like it fair enough, it is your opinion but why make such an insulting comment like this?. This drama has it all, yes the visual sensual couple but also the plot. I actually quite like the storyline. I felt particularly offended because I may be one of the few that actually does not like Song Kang!!! I felt he has made his way into K dramas on account of his looks. His performance in Nevertheless was terrible (well it did not help the script was rubbish and the pairing worse) but in My Demon he is really doing a good job. So please show some respect to the audience who are enjoying this drama!

If I could rate this 20 I would. It has it all, the perfect visual CP with a chemistry to burn the screen, the storyline, the great performances of the cast and the best kisses in the history of K dramas!!. Yoo Jun and Song Kang have raised the bar of Korean CPs far too high. We knew Yoo Jun is the Queen of K dramas but this is the best performance I have seen by Song Kang that in my humble opinion has moved in K ent mainly on account of his looks, his performance in Nevertherless was terrible but the script and the pairing did not help him either. This is such a rewarding watching so I strongly recommend it.

This was such an enjoyable drama. I still don't understand why the low rating instead of obnoxious cheesy and lack of originality dramas like Welcome to Samdalri is at 8.4!? In this drama there are original elements, the comedy timing particularly by Rowoon is amazing. He is definitely a super comedy actor. There are such endearing characters like the three "spinster" sisters, such great female characters strong, intelligent, and superior to men at all levels, so refreshing to see in a K drama. My only complaint is that they did not have enough screen time with their CPs, those couples were sassy and a joy to watch. I highly recommend this drama.

Thank you, but there are dramas at the moment that are so enchanting from the get-go: The Story of Park Marriage Contract, My Demon, My Man is Cupid and not as good but very watchable as the Matchmakers and the recently finished Moon in the day. I was hooked from the first ep, instead hereI am ep 4 and still finding a reason to keep watching.
