Nothing. LTG survived but alone with the women mourning for their true love. It is a proper sad episode, nothing to put a smile in our face. It actually finished with Chen Yue in a vision of Yu Shin San and some other silly images of all of them on horses.

Apologies, he did survive I thought alone with Princess Chen Yue mourning for Yu Shin Shan until the very last sec of the last ep but somebody has posted a photo of him marrying Princes of Wu

Here just to remind some and mention to others who do not know that the original (or first cut) version of The Untamed finished with the CP on the waterfall reunited. In this format was shown in Japan (Japanese audience are not fond of sad endings), unfortunately in the international platforms we had to watch the Chinese version with them separating in the hill (which has not sense at all). Some people said it is because censorship but I am more inclined to believe that is because Chinese audience prefers sad or open endings.

Agree. To add, they are from Ludiao Hall, so they live dangerous lives and can be killed in any action/mission - so this one was an over-melodramatic point

I am rewatching this series on the production company official YouTube channel (Linmon), the first 20 eps are free and no translations of the songs lyrics, which is great!!!! I thought there was a happy ending for this lovely couple Yu Shisan and Chen Yue (princess) because they were hugging with their army clothes (also because they have CP photos in their profile in Weibo), but then i watched a clip with YSS fighting blind and it looks to his death, but I really thought he was going to have a happy ending, I am still hoping for this, lets see

And also because our wild Princess Chen Yue (Markis' fiance atm) fall from the gorgeous Yu Shi Shan, and whatever happen to this hero she is not backtracking, I don't think so.

I saw a still of the Empress back in Wu holding a memorial tablet, it must be his (that's my guess) and he finally vindicated himself and die as hero
