i remember him as support in other dramas, i'm happy he finally found his way to the top
Yes, Pursuit of Jade. Appalling! and there is another case with the 2CP of Revenged Love, similar situation, but that drama is yet to be released.

Are you referring to He Chang Xi and his CP.? I was glad and surprised they were there, but apart from them, I don't recall any other Chinese BL CP doing this. This is a conscious career option, and when the risks are well managed they don't cut all their opportunities for mainstream dramas. The Killing to Love CP is a great example. Mi Jin was already in secondary roles in mainstream dramas. This did not stop during and after their BL. ZheXu is currently filming in another drama as a central character. I guess it all depends how they present themselves. Maybe? Certainly, they earned much more followers and brands after their BL.

This series has an engaging theme - yes I find the Omegaverse a good addition to the BL genre, but production/direction is not the best. The actors pace of the dialogue is painfully slow, there are noticeable gaps between lines. this is not the actors fault. This shortcoming works in detriment of some actors that are not the best. On the positive, I like the treatment of the Omegaverse where consent and reciprocity in this wild universe could also be included. I like the various partnerships. On this, Thai series excel. There is a wide representation of identities and liaisons. It is so refreshing to see in the same BL, GL storyline, hetero characters, the wider community is represented. Very commendable. I have never seen the main CP, I heard they had great chemistry. I think it is a lovely CP, and they bring to the table different skills. Boat is amazingly handsome with so much sensuality in his delivery and Oat is a very sound actor and so charming. I understand the hype.

Other people would think that having a lead in a BL is the contrary of a successful acting career in China. The latest Chinese BL are catered for international audiences and Chinese fans can only watch them with an international VPN (which is forbidden in China). It is also a big risk for an actor's career there. They do it to gather some audience and attention that they have not gotten through Chinese mainstream dramas.

This series has good performances, and an interesting storyline, but it does make me feel uncomfortable. I am really open minded and do not mind violence and twisted plot like ABO . In this series, the character of Guan Ye (LYF) falls in stereotypes and if I would be from the Chinese countryside I would have felt offended. Even years back, finding somebody like him would have been very unlikely. This makes the relationship with the master (the bro) obnoxious and it is difficult for me to find the positive. It is by all extent a master-servant relationship, that the master is falling in love does not make it an ounce redeemable. We know consent is a problem in Asian series, aggressive males, look like are the norm, whether hetero or BL, modern or custom dramas, but in this series it does disturb me more. I will keep watching, but I suggest to watch it with cautious.

The story is interesting. It had so much potential, but the performances are not good and the production is low budget so it comes across as boring. Somebody commented about the only sex scenes that we have seen by the 2nd CP were awkward. It clearly meant to be like this. One of the guys it is an abused person, even abused by the "boss" his CP, so there is no affection between them. It meant to represent inadequacy when his "boss" changed the dynamic of pure sex service to a more "normal" sex act with kissing included. The actor portraying the "boss" does kiss very well. Let's see with the main CP when they become romantic involved.

This was a great drama. I have to admit that I used to not really like the actress, but she did such a good job…
I read your comment after I posted mine! - I could not agree more 😊!

I really liked this series. However, I dropped it twice before, because from ep 2 to 9 the story did not really yield. From 10 to 14 is irresistible and then it take a notch down but still enjoyable. The whole cast was super including the children. Chu Ran so beautiful in this role and sparks in her heroine role, but it is Cheng Lei who has finally the chance to parade the whole range of his amazing acting skills. This is a multilayer role and he was impeccable in every gesture and emotion. He played most of it with a hinge of middle schooler boy, so difficult to achieve when facing the most diverse situations. They look lovely together without reaching the chemistry that he had with Lu Yu Xiao. In this sense, both CL and LYX are gifted with creating chemistry with all their CPs, but for me, independently, they have not reached again the fireworks they brought together in My Journey to You. Xiao Tan as the antagonist is great but we did not know he could be so sexy in romantic scenes. Bonus! Yi Xuan as the 3rd transmigrator is mesmerising, hopefully she will get FLs roles soon.

Extraordinary performances by all the leads. This series deserves a higher rating. Joseph Zeng delivers in all fronts, even in the bed scene. Du Ling proves again why she is a serious award winning actress in China. I normally do not like Jing Yi acting, but here the characters was perfect for her, so she really capture this multi layer character. I could say the same from Tian Jia rui, it was the characters that he deserved and could show all his acting skills. Lovely pair with Jing Yi, they have this very natural sweetness and warm. In the most serious part of his character he was not brilliant, it lack depth, but overall a moving performance. I like the plot too, in constant move and change of scenarios. Highly recommended.

This is a really good series. It is engaging throughout. The best acting by Ren Jia Lun in his career. There is a lot of nuances in his stillness. The first episodes were really touching. If you are high in passionate romance, this series is not for you. There was some "action" between the second FL and his CP, if we could call him this, and when it happens it was beautiful shot. The FL, He Run, is a solid actress, I don't know why we don't see her as lead more often. Highly recommended.

I enjoy reading your comment! Being shallow is totally acceptable in the BL territory 😊

You didn't had to mention looks, please block me. There is a reason why you have 16 friends only
I did not even know that people came to MDL to make friends!? I just accepted some requests of people who wrote personally to me, there are more "friends request waiting" but I don't know, is this a matter of collecting!? Why I am going to block you? you are expressing your opinion like I do. BL is typically the territory of looks. It is in the definition of the genre as it was developed in Japanese manga originally created by women for straight women. The characters intentionally have been aesthetically beautiful and became the focus characteristic of the genre. I also acknowledge it was a shallow comment from my part 🙏

Thank you Boho, do you know which series is?
this is great that is now in their profiles. This is the one that ZheXu has a very minor role as an assassin. Role that he got because Mi Jin asked the director. A really supporting CP.

I came here to read other's opinion. I did not like the trailer so I was not expecting much. Myself and another friend who fell passionately "in love" with Kill to Love, thought, let's give it a chance. What a let down. My friend abandoned it half way the first ep and myself endured it, and fast forward the 2nd one to see if there is "something" there, but no, nothing. It is feels very fragmented and there is not substance. The very daring sex scenes involving the Crown Prince could not be a point of attraction in itself. In modern dramas like To My Shore we have sex scenes but they were indispensable to understand the characters. Let me also a shallow comment, the actors are not as good looking as other CBL yet, they have chemistry, and they are not great actors but we have seen worse, so it is the overall production, direction storyline that is not right. As there is nothing to anchor me to this series, it is a pass for me. I won't rate it as I never rate series that I abandon.

any c-drama suggestions u can recommend me after watching this ?
If you have not watched, Blossom is really good. I loved The Double. The photography is spellbinding. These two are costume dramas. In modern drama I really liked We love in Spring. The acting was super. At the moment I am watching a fantasy one, Veils of Shadows and got all my attention. I tried Rebirth and not to throw hate at all, but what they were thinking of??? so bad. I am so looking forward to Overdo with ZLH and Wang Churan.
