ZLH promoting his next dramas in the PoJ banquet. One of them Overdo that looks fab. Actors need to move on and create expectations for their forthcoming works. It was a pity that Deng Kai and Snow Kong couldn't be there, but they are filming solo projects and a CP project with Dylan Wang as the ML too, so super busy. ZLH had to travel specially to attend the banquet from his filming sites.

I am really enjoying Veil of Shadows, smashing performances! and it is so different from PoJ that there is not way of comparing one to the other. Great viewer experience.

It is so strange, I didn't "registered" The Double having a sad ending. It was quite symbolic. In any case, the series was so beautiful, the photography was amazing. Blossom is HE.

This is not a drama focused on the fighting scenes. It is more romance driven.

Indeed, Chinese c -ent industry is based on looks. So ZLH is not the only one. Xiao Zhan is extremely beautiful and there are lots more. All the MLs in top tier productions have faces like models and they are extremely tall. The demand on height for ML is getting extreme. Now we found that most popular MLs are towering toward the 1.90 mts. Maybe the gov agency has a hint of truth, that there are some other actors whose performance are over shadowed because they are not as handsome, as young, as tall. Having said that, these MLs can act, a few of them comes from prestigious acting academies. In a country with the population of China it is not difficult to find handsome young men that combine all. However, we should not forget that we international audience only see a part of the c drama productions. There are a lot of national themes with actors from different generation and looks, that are very much liked by the majority of the Chinese audience. We are not shown those dramas.

How it is? Does it deserve the hype?

Deng Kai and Snow Kong in H16 - A great example of fan service and strong team work. Some people in MDL forums that does not know how to separate reality from acting/fiction when shipping a CP, feel offended when I talk about what fan service is. Anything that a CP does in front of a camera is fan service whether bts, live shows etc. Most real relationships in c- ent industry only happen behind closed doors, so we don't come to see it. DK and SK in Happy Saturday were a clear example of a successful CP throwing "candies" during the whole episode. They were super sweet to each other and the audience. They know if they show great chemistry they will land roles as acting partnership or even solos. Reality has proved them right, as recently their third collaboration as CP has been announced. Fan service is there to be enjoyed, not to create delusion. Here only a small snippet of what the episode was

In China being hired in a lead role change very quickly. Look at the FL in Rebirth, that is a top tier production but they hired her anyway. I don't recall she was the lead in anything before that as she was considered a child actor. I read today Deng Kai and Snow Kong are confirmed but they could be a 2CP or something like this.

I am so confused by the teasers and not sure if watching. So the FL has a romantic liaison - Chu Qiao character ? Who is? It looks is the 2ML? I thought, they won't focus in the romantic side, as the actress was a minor when filming (she turned 18 in July this year, but the filming start in December 2024, it was very much commented in Chinese social media). It does strike me the age gap if they are pairing him with Yun Rui, but ther other ML was 22 at the time of filming. so it is not that noticeable. I am a follower of Yun Rui since Parallel worlds and I think the young actress is really good as the rest of the cast. Agree with you. He is exquisite as the villian but he himself is craving for a bit of sweetness in his roles. He said it in one interview with Snow Kong. by the way in that series with D Wang they are both baddies.
