If the series does not grap your attention in the first part, it won't later. Veil of shadows looks full of action from ep 1. Maybe that would suit you better?

The lack of objectivity in this kind of comment is unbelievable. I suggest you go frame by frame and count them. how many frames the 2CP has vs the main CP. I am fan of both of them and the rest of the characters. LHX and TXW appeared in 90% of all the frames, but not necessarily as a couple because this is not just a romantic storyline! The plot has many layers and this is why I gave them 10/10, because it delivers in all fronts. if it would be only romantic, I would watch one of those cheesy miniseries!

The Double for me, the photography is beautiful so it get your attention from the beginning. I will follow it with Blossom.

Now, the critics does not refer to the portrayal of ZLH. He has not been the only "beautiful" general in fiction. A bit more context is that the censhorship agency in China is for a long time criticising romantic series in any historic times. In relation to modern drama they say they sell a really false idea about poor girls marrying rich CEO. It is not an easy time for ent industry in China.

So glad you liked Kill to Love too. Immortality, we only can dream....it was based on a damnei novel and damnei adaptations are forbidden in China now. The only alternative is than an international streamer bought it and released outside China. One can just hope!

I think a lots of us feel the same about the disparity in the episodes and the unnecessary over the top narrative about the FL as general. In MDL you are among the wrong crowds to echo your valuable aspirations. I don't know if laugh or cry about certain comments and is across the board, across all dramas pages. People who love to hate, creating artificial "fandoms" deciding to ignite controversy and imagine enemies for nothing, like if every part and every character in a series is not important to the overall conception of the storyline. In the only place that I found people with depth and appreciation in the comments was in Kill to Love, but we are such a small bunch of people there. Friends there analyse the characters, the language, the symbol, the cultural background. I learnt so much. It helps that most people there loved the series, so there was not real contentious point and controversy. So refreshing. When we are moved by a series/film we want to find people who feel the same, unfortunately, this is so uncommon in the MDL pages.
