If you look Qiu bio in MDL you realises he has been in low tier productions that have not been successful. In these productions there is a lot of bed scenes and kissing and he is a trained actor. I believe that all these reasons are valid. They both wanted to work together and they are paid a good salary. Additionally, more people know them than before, particularly internationally.
