The first half of ep 1 felt like it was ep 8 or something and I'd skipped the previous ones. Points for fast setup though. I'm glad there's no long childhood part (please don't make me eat my words with ep 2!).
Did they kill Ok Ryeon off because of Jin Se Yeon's double booking and lack of time? Cause it sure didn't feel…
But he was planning on fighting Leader Sol anyway. I'm complaining cause I don't see both the need for an extra push and also the push itself here. If a main character dies then I want it to have an effect!
It's not the thing of killing her off itself that's the problem but the execution and context - I know I cried forever when Jin Se Yeon died in Gaksital but here I was just "oh ok".
I never understood how some people want the main female with the second lead, why are you even watching dramas…
Sometimes you just can't help but root for the 2nd lead, even if you know it's doomed. It can also be due to bad writing, like in Oohlala Spouses.
Anyway, dramas teach you to never give up even when fighting a lost cause! ;) There are also some dramas were the writers must have changed their minds halfway through because the guy/girl set up as 2nd lead in the beginning gets the girl/guy after all.
I try to avoid 2nd lead syndrome cause of the heartbreak, but sometimes there's nothing I can do^^ That doesn't mean I enjoy the drama any less though!
Btw, Hong Ki all the way here!!
Did they kill Ok Ryeon off because of Jin Se Yeon's double booking and lack of time? Cause it sure didn't feel neccessary to the story and didn't have any impact - at least on me, and I was actually cheering her on.
Wait did I miss something? Didn't the autopsy of JT's father conclude that the direct cause of death were the…
Also, we saw that the poison kills pretty quickly. So Gaya wouldn't have needed to end the "long suffering". It doesn't add up.
Does Jung Tae have two dads?! xD
I'm afraid I'll get lynched for this, but I actually think Ok Ryeon is better for Jung Tae than Gaya ever since…
Isn't this just based on the manga and not a straight adaption? Either way the writers are free to change stuff, especially since it's not a rom-com and the romance is just an accessory. Ok Ryeon was set up as the classic 2nd girl in the beginning and Gaya as the (probably) first love. So, yes, I think the writer changed the pairing.
I didn't read the manhwa either, so I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't even any romance in the original.
Any good? Hope it is, since Shunji Iwai wrote and directed this show
Definitely recommended! The story is interesting and while certain concepts are nothing new, the way it's portrayed doesn't really feel like something you've seen before.
Also, the characters totally grew on me.
It takes a few eps to really hook you though, but it's worth it!
I really liked the music, but the story is medicore at best. If you're here because of the Shut Up recommendation, don't watch - Shark is nothing like it.
This is not how I was planning to spend my Saturday, but I started less than 24h ago and caught up to ep 10 by now. Damn, gotta join the waiting game after all. So, which day do subs usually come out?
I'm afraid I'll get lynched for this, but I actually think Ok Ryeon is better for Jung Tae than Gaya ever since the story left Shineuijoo. Though Im Soo Hyang obviously is the better actress.
What happened to Jung Tae's search for his sister anyway?
