I really enjoyed this work. The main actor’s performance was very good, and the actress, even though her character was a bit unlikeable, played it perfectly.Honestly, the love line between them wasn’t strong enough for the story’s circumstances. I even skipped many of their scenes.
The story is good, but it lacked balance. It focused too much on the coach, his lover, and the rugby captain, while other players and rival teams didn’t get enough attention. That bothered me in many scenes.
I know most dramas can’t give every character a fair share, but if you look closely, there’s a gap. Training scenes and the struggle of athletes were pushed aside, even though the summary said it’s about the addicted player trying to return as a coach. They leaned more on addiction, healing, and deception, not enough on sports itself.
Maybe the short number of episodes caused some of these flaws? I’m not sure, but I think it had a big effect on parts of the story and characters.
I may sound harsh, but I truly enjoyed it and don’t regret watching.
The story is beautiful, the acting was excellent, and the young athletes’ struggles (archery leader and rugby captain) were shown with real emotion. The family pressure on them was very clear.
I really liked all the main characters and their scenes. I strongly wished for a second season because I enjoyed it a lot.

Yoon-jin’s character was very sweet; I loved her scenes and her smile. I didn’t like removing her boyfriend in season two, but overall, the focus on her work life and challenges in the company was good.
Adding Cho Yeon was nice. Even though I was attached to Ye-na, Yeon fit well with the rest of the friends.
Yi-on’s journey of healing was beautiful, and her relationship with her boyfriend was nice, though I didn’t fully understand his issues—whether they stemmed from bullying or psychological problems. This made it feel like she stayed With him because he is harmless..even though he wasn’t fully aware of his feelings.
The series handled major issues professionally, but some subplots and romantic relationships didn’t get enough attention. Ji-won’s thoughts and her friend’s struggles were touched on but not in detail.
Lastly, the new actress playing Ong-jae wasn’t suitable. She’s physically attractive, but her acting was over-the-top compared to the original, who felt natural in the role. It would have been better if the character left and the new actress played a different role, like Cho Yeon, rather than replacing the original.

I will not talk about the female actors and their characters, each of whom is literally like a particular decoration on a cake. Even though they are considered decorations, if you do not put them on, it is as if you are losing one taste bud after another on your tongue!
I really loved Park Jae Wan literally one of the biggest green flags in K-dramas, right after Yang Gwang Shik. Jung Yul… I’m sorry, but Eun Jae’s fantasies about you threw me off, and I had this strong feeling you’d suddenly show your toxic side at any moment. And Go Do Young how can someone be that annoying? I loved this drama so much. Even with its occasional gloom and over-the-top moments, I loved every emotion it made me feel. I’m really looking forward to the second season — but even if I don’t end up liking it, this first one is already one of my forever favorites, the kind I rewatch every now and then out of pure nostalgia ♥️
