Same, I really judged her for neglecting him, but damn we really don't know anything. She was trying the best…
Agreed! It's truly one of those things that you have to experience yourself to have some sort of perspective of how/what it's like. And even then I feel like it'd still be hard to grasp how his mother felt and why she acted the way she did. Even Ju Ri's mum said that she couldn't even imagine what it was like for his mum and how difficult it was for her when she's a mother herself.
And of course as you said there is also MY'S mum's kind lol.

Agreed! That was such a beautiful interpretation! It really goes to show how well written this drama is. The amount of hidden messages and lessons in this is truly astonishing. I genuinely love reading people's interpretations and theories about this drama, they're all so damn beautiful and insightful.

Same, I really judged her for neglecting him, but damn we really don't know anything. She was trying the best way she could to manage them both. Being a mother is so bloody hard. Especially a single, poor mother with one autistic son as well like damn we really had no place to judge her.

Why do i think that the woman who slapped juri is MY's mom? I don't think they'll give it up that easy but think…
I was literally about to comment that! Idk i just think that she is her mum. That would explain all the 'singing' that her father hears in the hospital thinking that it's a ghost when it really could just be her roaming about the hospital. Also, when she told him "you're always one step late" while trying to reach for MY'S mum's book was sketchy. Why would she go for that particular book? And why would she tell him that if she didn't know him personally? I might just be reaching tho lol

Some thoughts on the romanticization of mental illness:1. Dramas aren't educational videos, Dramas are meant for…
The thing is..the drama isn't even romanticizing her behaviour like literally everyone is reprimanding her for her actions including the ml. Even the medical staff hates her like no one is condoning her behaviour, so I truly don't get where this is all coming from. Her character is literally frowned upon by all the other characters like where's the romanticisation????

I would understand this criticism coming from other dramas where despicable actions/characters were TRULY being romanticised (and the characters had no mental illnesses whatsoever), but in this one I truly don't see it. I'm open to discussion tho maybe I missed something. I do agree that generally mental illnesses are romanticised in k-dramas and are poorly portrayed and represented. However, I think this one has done a great job so far portraying it.

Should I start watching this? I am very busy so I want only the best. Honest opinion please.
I might be a little bit biased here, but honestly if I could recommend to someone any drama rn it would be this one. The first 4 episodes were truly everything. It's worth checking out imo xx
