Sounds like the Icelandic movie Rams: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rams_(2015_film)
Yes, it's actually an adapted version of it. The director said he loved the Icelandic movie very much and always wanted to do smth like it on the Korean side, guess he finally decided.
It doesn't have a fixed release date yet. It was supposed to be end of December but its premiere got postponed cause of the increasing Covid cases in South Korea, so I assume it's gonna be after things settle down a bit and the safety restrictions for going to cinemas aren't as rigorous. So some time next year..
You are right its not bad. Actors are good looking, acting is good. ML character is awful which will likely keep…
He will, it starts from EP 3, dunno if u've seen the preview for it, he decides he is willing to be with her, just now the FL may be bit on the fence, though rightfully cause she has waited too much for him, hence the introduction of the 2nd ML. LeeSoo is gonna have to redeem himself now and prove he's gonna change while resolving the issue that has made him like that in the 1st place. ( Said to be connected to trauma due to the fallen marriage of his parents and his overall bad relation to them, I mean he said he hates that he was born..)
I think LeeSoo isn't really arrogant or trying to be selfish in love as he seems, in fact he cares more for ppl than he lets be known, specially for WooYeon. But he's suffered some big trauma caused by his parents' divorce and his overall connection with them that made him develop very defensive exterior and need for self protection, hiding beneath all the confidence, specially towards anyone who is trying to show him love. Why he is insisting on the "just friends", but it's clear it's not how he really feels, just he's scared of getting hurt and making such attachment to WY. It's unfortunate that while he is likely hurting, he is hurting WY as well with his confusing behaviour. I'm interested to see how he's gonna overcome his issue and what caused it precisely.
honestly it’s not as bad as it sounds lmao. the second episode was definitely better than the first. don’t…
Tbh most ppl that have started watching it have said the same thing, they were put off by the synopsis at 1st, but decided to give it a go and were surprised how it was better than they expected and ended up enjoying it a lot. Lot of drama accs on twitter are loving it, saying that while it does have its cliché moments, it's well executed and fun, not cringy at all, plus it also has big slice of life orientation, not just typical romcom.
where is the misunderstanding? like the first synopsis which i read
Yeah, someone said what's written here matches the highlights video, not exactly the storyline. I saw it changed several times as new info came out, so I feel there are some parts made combined and turned out bit messy.
I think it's his complex from his divorced parents. he doesn't want to make it romantic to not end up like them.…
It was mentioned in his char description that his unwillingness to be into relationship does come from his parents divorce, it's clear he's got issues from it and with them. Something about how his parents were friends who ended up married, but got divorced and they realized they function better just as friends. So he has fear that same thing can happen to him and WY, or that he could lose her overall, so he insists on the "just friends". It's a complex he's gonna need to overcome.
where is the misunderstanding? like the first synopsis which i read
The synopsis tbh is kinda confusing and bit misleading, I would rewrite it completely. So far in these 2 eps, there are no misunderstandings, I wonder if there are any overall even later..
Ong Seongwu has had only one drama so far "At 18", for which he got several rookie awards + a Baeksang nomination, that's very impressive for a literal newcomer. So I dare say "he didn't get to shine" would be quite an understatement specially from the acting's industry perspective. If the drama or he went under the radar of ppl, or it/his acting style isn't up to their preference that's a different thing. From what I have read around he's been praised for being able to portray complex emotions through micro-expressions and his restrained acting + for having very expressive eyes. Like he doesn't do the over-acting/eyes wide open thing which most ppl are used to seeing. This is his 2nd drama, so ofc he's still in the process of learning and improving, would be illogical to expect some perfect acting, his career literally just started...I believe he also has upcoming movie with Ryu Seung Ryong so its obv ppl in the industry like him a lot cause they believe he's got great potential. I do agree with u though that I would like to see him also do support roles with senior actors as costars, so that he can learn from them and get good exp.
1st of all, there is no seniority card in the acting world...this isn't kpop concert where hoobaes perform before…
As far as I've read from the small info on Korean sites about the drama, they will show development of their relations from 18 till their late 20s, but from the little char description there is, seems it's gonna be centered mostly around their middle 20s and above. All the actors are in their 20s and they don't really have obvious look of a younger person, that they wouldn't be able to pull off this age range. OSW has acted as 18y old even though he's 24 but his looks can also pass for older. Even KDJ is 27, but since he's more on the cuter side, it's not like he can't pass for 20y old, dress him in a high-school uniform, he'll look like one 100%. SHY is the youngest of the cast so far being 22, but I mean based on what perception should we judge how a 20 or 30y olds should look. I guess it's gonna be up to their styling to show the aging process.
Kim Dong Jun should be the mail male lead. Ong Seong Wu is a new actor . Kim Dong Jun has put in his time, he…
1st of all, there is no seniority card in the acting world...this isn't kpop concert where hoobaes perform before their sunbaes because of seniority. There isn't any character description and yet u're implying that KDJ should be main, only because u think so, no other reason whatsoever.. This is the 1st time I see such senseless opinion which makes it that ovb you're just a very biased fan of KDJ. The thing that someone deserves to be main more just because he/she has been around longer, here it doesn't exist, it can't exist for reasons... 2nd, who gets which role is either decided through auditions or direct offer to a specific person the director/writer etc. have in mind for a certain role, that that person would be the best match they have envisioned for the role whether in appearance/personality, their trust in the actor's abilities etc. Some roles have even been written from start while having a specific actor in mind with hopes of recruiting that actor for the part. For this reason there can't be a "I think the senior deserves to be lead more, it's fair like that.." And Ong Seongwu and Kim Dongjun have a very different appearance so it's highly unlikely they would be candidates for the same role.
Glad I am watching this. Jun woo and Soo Bin are really cute. Also, am I the only one who does not like Ro Mi,…
Everyone dislikes Romi as far as I've noticed. On her char profile it said she is very envious of Subin, dislikes when Subin get's lot of attention even for a beauty compliment and how everyone holds her in high regards in the class, she's obsessed with expensive items Subin has, always asking what is it, how much is it..she pretty much wants what Subin has, it's some fake "friendship" going on.
After watching two episodes I don't feel the urge to keep watching this, why? Because it's very predictable. Three…
This is not plot driven story, don't look for some major plot. This is character driven story, it's meant for people to focus on how the characters develop throughout and how they feel, the small emotions, how they act and why, what they say etc. (noted by the drama PD) The first 2 eps are more like an introduction, since it goes so much better after and much darker and the issues and dialogues they have later on feel very real. Still everyone has preference, this style is not everyone's taste. This drama being slice of life it is meant to show SK's society the pressures they are dealing with, specially their youth, and SK having rampant suicide % of mostly young ppl because of issues presented in this drama, they need 10 more of these to get their eyes open.
Just a thought but a main lead actress should be some new one with the lead actor. I found her bit unattractive…
If u find her unattractive, that's only your personal preference about looks. So far most ppl find her extremely adorable and pretty, specially those who know her from younger age and see her now as she's grown into a beautiful young adult. What's most important, she and the male lead have great chemistry together and ppl are loving them as a couple. It's an honor to have her in the cast, a big acting sunbae and Blue Dragon Award winner that can actually challenge these new actors and they can learn from her. U can be sure everyone is thrilled to have her in the drama.
anyone know the english songs in the drama (such as from EP2)?
It's OST from the drama - "Moments" by Christopher (Christopher Lund Nissen). Here's a youtube link, u also have it on spotify etc... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEcNhCfdpTY
Ep 4 is a roller-coaster of emotions and the ending is just...damn... For some, things may have been going slower in the drama till now, but it seems the intense stuff are about to take over...and I need to wait 5 days till next ep.. And Ong Seongwu can't be a rookie actor, his delivery is that good. The whole cast is on point.
Does anyone knows the title of the song at the end of episode 2?
The song at the end of the eps is "Moments" by Christopher Lund Nissen, it just released today on Melon, u also have it on spotify, apple music and youtube.
