My second actor crush - It would be a 10 if only it had a decent kiss or some truly romantic scenes

Things I loved:

1 The male lead actor. Gorgeous and such a good actor. He doesn't have the beauty of Ji Chang Wook, but I had an equal crush on him. He's more mature, more rugged, but as much talented and handsome.

2 Mrs. Shi. I don't think I've ever liked a secondary character more than her. This is what every employer should aspire to and every woman and man. Not only the character was great, but the actress also was stunning and played the role to perfection. she was believable as the thoughtful, smart and kind CEO. Her kindness was visible in her expression and her whole demeanor. I truly loved her.

3 The setting of the story. I loved that it was a field I'm interested in and it doesn't disappoint.

4 The second couple. Both great actors and great characters. At first I thought the second female lead would be the rival and disliked her a lot. But once she changed, I loved her more and more. I loved their relationship with the male lead. Their friendship felt genuine and moving. I think from all the second couples I've seen this is my favorite.

5 The team in the male lead's company. Those who stayed with him were all great characters.

6 The secretary. her interactions with the male lead were so cute. I loved that in the end she'll have her happy ending. Song was also a great character even though he wasn't often on screen.

7 I loved the partner of his father. Such a wise and kind woman. I loved how she treated the male lead and how their relationship was portrayed.

8 The cinematography. Gorgeous views of Shanghai.

9 The heroine's parents. What a funny, warm, caring and wise couple. The family dynamic was great to watch.

10 I want to add separately how much I loved the friendship between the male lead and the second male lead. Their friendship was so good to watch. It was fun and at the same time moving how they interacted depending of the situation.

11 I loved the witty dialogue between the main leads especially in the first half when there were so many witty exchanges. It slowed down later and that displeased me. I don't know why they can't keep things on the same lever when it comes to the identity of a show. They can make the characters evolve without necessary change what makes the charm of a show.

12 How capable and smart the heroine was.

13 That it's the drama I laughed the most spontaneously in some of the dialogues.

Things I disliked:

1 The father story. They could choose another way to go. To me that was heartbreaking for the male hero and he never had closure even though they tried.

2 Something futile and just for fun. The way he coiffed his hair sometimes. It seemed so unkempt and so not him.

3 The main lead actress. I know many will dislike what I say, and I'm not proud to say it either, but although she's pretty, she's not attractive to me and I don't think she was a good match for the actor. I never stopped imagining someone else like Bai Lu in her place. I know it's not fair and she's a talented actress, no doubt about this, but because I didn't find her attractive enough for the male lead, there was no romantic chemistry between them. I even felt like the actress didn't know how to play the romantic scenes well. She was great while she sparred with him, but I've never felt like she cared about her boyfriend or the male lead romantically. I get that they focused on the business side of the story and how she fulfilled her dreams, but it's a miss in my opinion not to give is more romance. Anyway the 10 is for the male lead and some witty dialogues, but not for the actress unfortunately.

4 I didn't care about the friend from the past. She wasn't a bad character, just underwhelming for me and not necessary at all. She didn't contribute anything to the story. It could be great without her.

4 The non communication between the father and the male lead. I know it was meant to show that he struggled in life as well, but I would like another resolution as I said before.

5 The best friend of the female led. Her character irked me. Yes her boyfriend turned out to be a scumbag but what the heck was she doing living the life of a lazy person who only wanted someone to dot on her. Despicable and I hate that kind of women. She's supposedly changed and the hint of romance between her and the factory owner was great, but it doesn't redeem her for being such a leech before and excuse her behavior because he promised her to take care of her. What the heck?

Things I hated:

1 The lack of any romantic scenes. Really? You write such a good script and you have a great actor as male lead and you don't think it would add to the enjoinment to add some romantic moments between them? Real romantic moments where both leads were present and could witness each others feelings grow. We were robbed as viewers of watching their romance grow. I wanted to lower my rating just for that but then the male lead was so good I couldn't.

2 The boyfriend of the female lead. The moment he appeared I disliked the actor so much that he could be a great character and I'd never warm on him. Like at first sight, there's have at first sight. That's what happened to me when he appeared on my screen. Not only I don't like his appearance, but he also made me think of someone I'd never like to meet in my life. It's weird how our feelings work.
Of course the character he played didn't help changing my first impression. I hated his character more than anything and I didn't feel the smallest kind feeling and understanding about him. He chose to do what he did and he wasn0t redeemed because he did the right thing i n the end. He hit her so there will never be any redemption for him. he should have treated whatever problems he had before ruining other people's lives. Despicable character, unattractive actor. Comparing him and the boyfriend of the best friend who mislead the main couple, I'd still have more understanding for the boyfriend of the best friend of the heroine.

3 The last episode. Although I loved seeing everyone and it was fun to see how they evolved and where they are now, how the heck do you spend so much time on the scumbag? Who cares what happens to him? Give us the result in one minute and move to the main couple or anyone else for that matter. That was a big failure and I don't get why they did it. They could have wrapped up this story in the previous episode. We didn't need the musings of that stupid character.
I also hated that the main leads had only 5 minutes, really five minutes, to decide to be together. What is wrong with the writers and the director? How on earth is this satisfactory for everyone who watched 32episodes and invested their time on the series? And of course there's declaration of love, there's no tenderness, nothing cute or romantic. Such a let down, I almost cried. I was waiting for that last episode, hoping they would have the time to talk about their feelings. Unbelievable and so frustrating.

4 I hated the way the female lead dressed. She didn't look elegant at all. More like a child who played a grown up. Her clothes were too similar and too bland. She could be professional and at the same time elegant. Everyone else was best dressed and I loved the male lead's style. Her character was the only one to wear such uninspiring clothes. I don't get why. Same thing for her hair. They should use someone who could make her look pretty because the truth is she's pretty enough, but the clothes, and the high heels that didn't suit her at all, and the hair didn't do her any favors.

5 I can't get past the supposed kiss. It was teased and never delivered. What the heck was that? We saw them just touch the lips accidentally and they kept talking about a kiss. What kiss? Where was that kiss? It was beyond ridiculous to describe this as a kiss and it irked me a lot. I felt cheated as a viewer. And I felt both leads behaved stupidly for something that didn't even happen. That scene was so unnatural, so cringe. Not funny, not romantic, not anything other than ridiculous. And then we had to wait until the last minute to see them kiss for two seconds. Great! Good job, no one ever said.

6 I hated that the female lead had to think about breaking up with that stupid boyfriend. He hit her and she took time to send him packing. Really? Not only that but we never saw her being attached to him, so why the heck would she hesitate to make a decision about their relationship? I would get if they were together for years and it was the first time and she was surprised etc. etc. But there was no reason for her to think about it. She should have pushed him in front of a car. Sorry, I'm just so mad about that. I want the heroines to be like we should be and not like we are as women. I get the verbal sparring because leads because you can talk back and the level can be equal. You can have sharp and witty exchanges without abusing the other person. but hit someone is nowhere acceptable, so it just made me dislike the heroine who's supposed to grow and be a smart woman.

Loved the plot

Things I loved:

1 The premise. I had so much fun in the first episodes.

2 The main actress. She's beautiful and charming, perfect for a romantic comedy heroine.

3 The SFL actress. At first I thought I wouldn't like the actress, but she played her role well.

4 The SML character and the actor. I loved the character and I hope to see the actor in other series.

5 The team that worked with the heroine. I loved all of them. They were kind and funny.

Things I liked:

1 The grandfather. He was fun and I like the actor.

2 The parents of the heroine. They were interesting and funny.

Things I disliked:

1 The ending. I didn't care about the separation, it felt forced and the final episode was not romantic enough for me.

2 Lack of chemistry. Maybe I'm wrong, but it felt to me like if the actress played with someone else the whole series would be better.

3 The male lead. I'm not sure if he deserves to be here or to thinks I liked. I put him here because I don't find him attractive and that takes away from my pleasure in watching it. I imagine this series with Ji Chang Wook and feel like it would be the perfect romantic comedy. The actor wasn't funny enough and sometimes too stiff for me. On the other hand he was good enough sometimes so maybe it's not fair that I put him in the things I disliked. But the thing is that he's the sole main actor I didn't look for any other series he was in, so, I'll leave it here for now.

4 The relationship of the male lead and SML. I was expecting more warmth and to be funnier like in other series I've seen. here both were distant and couldn't convey any emotions to me.

My first series rated under 8.

Things I loved:

1 The SML. What an adorable actor and what a great character. I'd love to see him as the main lead in some series.

2 The sister of the hero. She may be over the top sometimes, but she was funny and dynamic. I loved how the actress portrayed the character.

3 The work team and how they behaved with the heroine. It was great to see them interact.

4 The supposed rival of the male lead. I loved the actor and the character. The script wasn't always good, but the actor managed to make me like the character.

Things I liked:

1 The hero. He was a good person and I didn't think he was especially mean.

2 The actor. I've seen him in Lucky's First Love, so I'm a bit biased because I loved him in that series, but I think he did a good job here as well. The script didn't help him. Sometimes it was good, sometimes it was awful. He still managed to convey some emotions well.

3 The parents of the hero. I imagine some didn't like the parents and i get why but other than some exaggerations, I found both couples caring and not too intrusive. Intrusive for me who's very independent, but not to the point I hate him.

Things I disliked:

1 The third couple. I didn't care at all about them.

2 The parents. Sometimes I thought they were too involved and in their children's lives.

Things I hated:

1 The clothes the heroine wore sometimes. What the heck was this kind of clothes? was she meant to be a nun? Usually the heroines in both Korean and Chinese dramas are dressed impeccably. Here it was atrocious.

2 The turn the story took and how the heroine behaved. Contrary to others that she went along with the "rival's" statement about the child didn't bother me. I get why she wouldn't clear the situation. It just shouldn't take that much time. But that she had such a change of heart so suddenly, although explained a bit, didn't flow for me. Her character was inconsistent.

3 Lack of chemistry. After seeing Lucky's First Love I think it was evident to me that the chemistry wasn't the same. I watched them one after another so it was easy to spot that.

4 The forced innocence. The actress is adorable and she's convincing in playing an innocent heroine, but it became too much after a while. She didn't feel real to me.

5 The "sleep together and don't remember" plot ruined the series for me. That's not romantic especially when you don't give time and space to the couple to talk about it and give the audience the satisfaction of some romantic scenes. It was awful.

6 Lack of cute and romantic scenes. They were rare and not too convincing. All in all, it started great, it had some funny and touching moments, but in the end it fell flat and I blame the main actress and the script.

My first K Drama

Things I liked:

1 The plot. It was fun and had potential.

2 The main actor. He was good in his role and had good chemistry with the actress.

3 The CEO. I loved the character and it was touching to see his struggles.

4 The partner of the ML. I liked his character and their relationship.

5 The relationship between the leads even before they got together. It was cute and seemed genuine.

Things I disliked:

1 The SFL. I think she was an awful character and no excuses for her behavior. Until the end she was irredeemable in my opinion.

2 The father of the SML. What an awful character. Not a single time I liked him.

3 The SML. He was an interesting character, but it wasn't enough to like him. I still think he played well his role and there were some times I had some sympathy for him.

4 The mystery about the house. I thoroughly disliked the reason the basement was close. It left a bitter taste in my mouth because it was too heavy.

5 Some things were out of date and offensive.

Intriguing

Things I liked:

1 The main actor. It's the only series I watched with him, but I liked him and I think he played well his role.

2 The main actress. She's cute and a good actress.

3 The MF character. I liked her story and how she was connected to the male lead. Although it was too heavy for me, it was beautifully written and acted.

4 The ML character. Even though he often was a jerk I couldn't hate him. And I think he had one of the best character development when the ending came.

Things I disliked:

1 The second female lead. Although she redeemed herself later I can't say I ever warmed (maybe a little) to her character. I think she wasn't good for this particular role. I tried but couldn't see the main actor with her.

2 The SML. At first I though I'd love him and hen I started to dislike him more and more and at the end I didn't even want him to have a happy ending. I know I'm being unfair, he had his reasons to feel like he felt, but still... I was mad at him, still am.

3 The story about the male lead's past. Too dramatic for me. I wanted something fluffier.

4 The premise wasn't one of my favorites but they managed to deal with it quite well.

Good idea, poor directing and script

Things I liked:

1 The plot. It was original and it could be great if the execution was good.

2 The manager. Great character, good acting, I just loved him, and his relationship with the male lead.

3 The male lead. Although he didn't do a great job, he still was good at showing some emotions and other than the manager he was my favorite of the cast.

Things I disliked:

1 The plot didn't live up to my expectations. It could be funny, romantic if the director was good, but in my opinion he was truly bad.

2 The female lead isn't a great actress. For such a funny premise I was expecting more from her. It was like she didn't care about her lines. Something felt off.

3 The way the male lead acted. I love this actor normally. Here he was too distanced from his role and he never truly embraced it.

4 Lack of chemistry between the leads.

5 The producer and the director. I didn't find the endearing, just irritating.

6 The script. The idea was great, the script just bearable. Some things didn't make any sense and the whole concept felt stupid when they could have chosen to develop it in some other way that could make it shine.

Things I hated:

1 The second female lead. Such a stupid character. I didn't like her even for a second. I didn't care what would happen to her at all.

2 The second male lead. Worst actor ever. Worst character ever. Not only his character was beyond redemption and his acts those of a psychopath, but the actor rubbed me the wrong way as well. I don't think he managed to show any kind of real emotion. I just wanted both him and the second female lead to disappear. They ruined the series for me.

Interesting idea

Things I liked:

1 The heroine's character. She was smart and assertive most of the time.

2 The progress of their relationship. Although fast it felt real.

3 The romance and the kisses. Not enough but better than in other series. There was chemistry between the leads.

Things I disliked:

1 It took me a while to warm to the actor. I'm not sure I care to watch other series with him, although he's a good actor.

2 I think his character sometimes was great and sometimes overbearing. It was difficult to deal with some scenes and it rubbed me the wrong way.

3 The time it took to find out why she was chosen. I think the story would be better if they spent more time on this.

Good, interesting premise

Things I liked:

1 Both leads were great. The actress is one of my favorites and the actor although this is the first series I watch with him was great.

2 I liked the relationship of the heroine with her father.

3 I liked the premise, it was fun and intriguing.

4 Some funny scenes.

Things I disliked:

1 Not enough romantic scenes for me.

2 I don't like romantic triangles and this one was painful for me since I like the actor.

3 I didn't care about the second couple. I didn't think they were interesting characters.

4 The premise was great but I think the execution could be better. The script wasn't up to par with the idea.

One can only wonder about the high rating

Things I liked

1 The premise or what I thought would be the premise. They didn't try too hard to make it work, did they? I can't fathom how this drama has such a high score. I'm probably missing something but I can't imagine what.

2 The ML. I'll have to split this between the actor and the character. The actor wasn't that bad. Yes, he didn't have a lot to base his acting, but he is handsome, even though in a classical way, and I want to believe that if the script was better he'd be better. I may be wrong though. That said, he's so handsome, it's easy to see why he got the role. Even if I don't like that kind of beauty it'd be hypocritical to not notice how handsome he is. And I want handsome ML in my rom coms.

Things I disliked

1 The script and the fact that the characters were never three dimensional. They are all like cardboard characters and unfortunately the actors don't have much to work with and not enough talent to work with the little they have.

2 The friends and the secondary cast. No one stood out for me and I had no one to root for.

3 The ML. I'll have to split this between the actor and the character. The character was so so and he had some questionable lines that made me cringe. He wasn't what I calla green flag. Not a red one either but in any case he wasn't what I want in a rom com.

4 Lack of chemistry between the leads. I didn't see any, although one or two kisses weren't that bad.

Things I hated

1 The FL. I just don't get it. Is she supposed to be smart? Because I didn't see that. I saw a stupid teenager who thought she was beautiful and smart and walked around with this belief written allover her face. I'll be honest, I think she's a terrible terrible actress. Add to it that I don't find her beautiful at all and you have me perplexed about why she was cast as the ML. What I get from her is the vibe: I'm beautiful and don't need anything else to get on in life. Not only the character but also he actress. I feel like the actress knows she's beautiful and acts like she's the princess everyone has to bow to. Like she knew she acted and never immersed herself into the character. Sorry if I'm mistaken, this is what she projected for me. The character wasn't special either. She was supposedly smart but she never really showed that.

Too dark for me

Things I liked

1 The ML. He's handsome at least. I can't say much for his acting skills though since this my first drama with him and I wasn't impressed. I didn't find his character was that great to be honest so maybe he should play it like that. I don't know. The thing is I was disappointed after seeing so many good reviews.

Things I disliked

1 The FL. I think she's not a great actress and her character wasn't compelling. She wasn't able to give it some depth so in the end I didn't care for her.

Things I hated

1 The script. It was too dark without make me care for the cases.

2 The lack of chemistry between the leads. I blame both, it feels like they didn't even try,

Toxic, boring, abhorrent.

Things I loved

1 Nothing. Just to be clear.

Things I disliked

1 The premise. It could be fun and relatable if they had treat it as a rom com. They treated it as a real issue and they managed to offend any decent human being out there. Shame on them for shaming people with a health issue as gaining weight.

Things I hated

1 The way hey made this into a serious drama. What is wrong with everyone involved in this mess? I started thinking it would be fun and lighthearted and it turned out a shame game.

2 The FL. This was my last attempt to like this actress. She ruins everything she's in for me. At first, I thought she'd be one of my favorites but she manages to make me hate each of the characters she plays and she drags with her her male costars. She exudes arrogance, she's terrible at comedy and she makes me depressed. Awful actress.

3 The second couple. I think there was only one other drama then I Married an Antifan or something that had a toxic second couple I hated. Now this one is at the podium as well. Not once ounce of remorse from those two execrable human beings. What kind of story is this where the mean people win?

4 The plot. it was beyond stupid. The family plot, the rich hidden hero plot. Everything was atrocious.

5 The last episode. What the hell was that? He shamed her even at the last minute? Despicable! The more I think about it the more I regret having lost so many hours for this stupid shameful drama.

6 The ML. His character is exactly what any women should avoid. Under the cover of living healthily he imposed his vision on a another human being and shamed her all the way. Shame on him. And in case you wonder. I lost 20 kg a few years ago and I know how hard it is. But no matter if I weight like now 60 kg or like a few years back 80 kg, I never once accepted or will accept that someone shames me. I pity the young women who will consider this romance.

Major casting failure. The FL actress isn't right for the role and ruined it for me

Things I liked

1 The ML. he did his part. he tried hard to make it work but it was useless with the useless partner he had. I hope I see him in other series where he can shine.

Things I disliked

1 The lack of chemistry. Something was off and it never felt like they were in love. He probably was, she certainly wasn't. She gave the impression that he was lucky to have her and we were lucky to watch her destroy a love story.

Things I hated

1 The casting of the FL. The actress didn't even try to make us believe she was in love. No warmth, no humor, no tenderness and certainly not any chemistry with the ML. The people who cast her for the role should be fired. If she's not capable to convey love and warmth she has nothing to do in a romance series. Don't make me incest my hours on something you know it won't give me satisfaction because you chose a person for the role who can't act. It's an insult to the viewer. First and last time I've watched that actress.

2 The line about leave to men to take the initiative about the future. What the hack was that? Who wrote that dreadful line?

I love travel stories, just not this one

Things I loved

1 The premise. Give me anything related to travel and I'm your woman. I could spend my life traveling and I don't need even company. I'm dreaming in travels. So I'm thoroughly disappointed that this drama was so bad. I'm not sure how it has such a good rating, but to me the premise was the only good thing.

Things I disliked

1 Almost every character. I don't think there was one I loved or cared about. Their stories weren't interesting, their interactions weren't funny, and the main leads had no chemistry. A failure casting wise for me all the way.

Things I hated

1 I didn't find the script great. I don't say they didn't present France well, but for someone who visited every corner of France and think it's the most beautiful country on earth and that after visiting 50 countries, the clichés were there and bothered me and they could have found a more compelling story to show the country through this. Too many things bothered me because either they aren't true either they exaggerated them and I hate that.

2 I hated that I was so happy to find that drama only to get disappointed.

3 I didn't like the FL at all. She lacked warmth and talent and she rubbed me the wrong way from the very first episode.

4 The whole romance thing was underwhelming and rushed.

So overhyped

Things I liked

1 The premise. I don't mind repetitive themes and this one talked to me although it reminded me of Hallmark movies which I hate. It never delivered.

2 The ML. At first I loved him, the character and the actor. But then he fell in love with a stupid, mean, ugly person outside and inside and I lost every goodwill I had. Still, the actor did a good job.

Things I disliked

1 Most of the residents. Sad, unoriginal stories that one could come up while doing a million other things at the same time. No brain required. I don't think I found one who talked to me and for whom I cared. At first yes, but as the drama unfurled, my feelings changed for all of them. Obnoxious, nosy characters who think know better.

Things I hated

1 Usually I leave long reviews whether I like or dislike a drama, but this time I feel like it would be a waste of my time to honor this stupid drama with my detailed thoughts. So I'll just say that I hated the FL, he character and the acting. Now it's established that I think of her as an ugly actress, who looks ten years older, and has not the slightest talent. She always comes out as a mean, egotistical, know-it-all person who is never sympathetic. I made the mistake to start 3 series with her and I finished them, thank god, so I'll never have to see her again. Her only talent is to ruin every series she appears. It may sound harsh, but my gut tells me that the ugliness she infuses in her roles is her true self. I'm not sure what others see in her, but to each their own. The 3 is only for the ML. Otherwise it would be -20.

2 The title. Who the heck think of that atrocious title?

Most unpleasant characters I ever watched in a drama

Things I loved

1 You must be kidding. Nothing and when I say nothing I mean nothing, not even one line they said, not even one thing they did.

Things I liked

1 That it was so ridiculous and over the top that it was funny.

Things I disliked

1 The ML actor. He wasn't the worst actor but his character was so unappealing. I truly didn't care what happened to him and I never felt he was really in love with the FL.

2 The 2ML actor. His character but more that he accepted to play in this drivel. He became one of my favorite actors after watching Strong Woman and now I wonder if he was a good actor or if it was just a fluke his performance in Strong Woman. Such a pity that he wasted his time in this awful terrible series.

Things I hated

1 The FL. What an unpleasant stupid character and what an untalented average actress. I thought at first she would be me favorite but she was such a stupid person that I couldn't take it after a while. One thing is sure, I'll avoid any drama with her.

2 The sister. I won't even waste my time to list why. She's an awful person and the actress is ugly and untalented.

3 The 2FL. I hear from everyone that she was the best. Well, I disagree. She was as unpleasant as the others and jus because she was poor doesn't mean she was smarter, kinder, or anything better. In the last episode when she tried to play cute with the 2ML and be witty with the mother I hated her even more. I think she was just a cunny woman who didn't have any manners, any wit and and any competences. I dare say she was worst than the FL. I won't go that far, though. Both were as unlikable as it gets. Needless to say that I will avoid her dramas as well.

4 The mother. She should get the crown of worst mother, although with K dramas we have the choice. Such a ridiculous character, I never felt an ounce of sympathy for her. I know she had an awful life, but she deserved it. I hated her from the first scene and it lasted until the last one.

5 The father. I'm not sure who imagined that despicable person, but he ruined the series more than anyone. What was the purpose of his character? Other than being a monster, what was his role? I wish he had some things coming to him, something truly bad. Alas, he was still the same monster in the last episode.

6 The lack of chemistry between the couples. No difference to me. None had any chemistry. Unless shouting and talking like two stupid people is considered chemistry these days. The kisses were bland, the words were awful. I can't believe in the last episode that they were talking about divorce before even get married. This must be the worst chemistry I've seen between couples and the way they treated their relationships was shocking to say the least. I remember the chemistry between the 2ML and his partner in Strong Woman and wondered what was he doing there.

7 The narration of the FL. She made it sound like she was telling something deep and insightful when what she said was so trite and stupid, I wasn't sure she had all her mind every time she talked.
