The leads don't end up together. The show ends with Ken saying he hasn't seen Lue in a about a year. You can tell they likely wanted to make a special episode or second season, but that never happened.
Could you please elaborate? I'm wondering if it is worth my time...
i think that really depends on how you go into watching the show. it's not the best plotwise, there's quite some plotholes. there's a lot of characters and some bizarre things that happen. but, i knew going in not to expect a lot, so i went into watching it with the intention of having fun. and that i did. not taking the show too seriously made the viewing experience really enjoyable. i had a good time with how wild the show sometimes is, how some unexpected things happen and how not everything makes sense. and a big plus of this show is that its visually very beautiful. lots of cool shots and interesting lighting. i hope that helps you make a decision. if you have more questions feel free to let me know.
So, Din is still alive but he took over someone's identity. Lue's. So Lue is Din. Ken and him spend one night together before some shit goes down. I assume Ken knew that Lue was Din before he slept with him, but I'm not certain since we never get told whether he did or not. They dont end up together, Lue/Din dissapears after that shit that went down. The show ends on a time skip where it's one year later and Ken tells us he hasn't seen Lue/Din since the day he dissapeared.
honestly if you don't take the show too serious it's quite fun. I had a blast with today's episode. also the jade, uea, king friendship is fantastic! i'm so glad to have that on my screen
Some thoughts during and after the first ep. - I love how straightforward Manaow is. - The show is establishing her queerness from the very first ep, I appreciate that! - The speed of events happing is very lesbian of them. The story is a bit choppy though. - All the uni love story cliches I'm used to from bl seem to be present and im vibing with it tbh.
