The first 5 eps had relationship development between "HJ and SH" and "SJ and HR", I don't get how after ep 5 SJ suddenly became interested in HJ and started liking her?! They did not convince me!! Everything happened before that ep was between HJ and SH!! SJ hated HJ and he didn't even notice her in their 1st meeting!! He hated that she had the same name and hated that she was not pretty and hated everything about her!! How can she just like him like that?! Can someone explain to me? How can she fall in love with such a person? I would never love someone who made me hate myself and feel pathetic and made me hide my identity because I wasn't confident enough not only that she was ashamed and embraced of herself?! What kind of love and romance is that?! Did anyone see "love" between those two?! SJ said that if she was honest with him from the beginning he wouldn't have cared I find that funny, it's really funny how the writer is trying so hard to make him look like he really genuinely loved her... Something is wrong with this drama it's inconsistent... SH (siwon) he loved her for her and he thought she was pretty how can she not like this kind of person and insistent on loving that person?! I see no reason except that he was "her 1st love" which is rather stupid. If they were going to go for the "main guy always gets the girl" concept they shouldn't have made the 1st 5 eps go the way they were going. Also I love Hwang Jung Eum as an actress but here she was way too over the top her expressions had too much exaggeration!! and the character itself was annoying she was too sacred and too terrified to the point of shaking and trembling in front of SJ come on I get that she didn't want him to know but shaking and trembling whenever he talks to her or sees her?! That was way too annoying (and the teeth thing) I don't like it I can't believe the ratings this drama has gotten
I seriously dislike the fact that they chose the same title as Wong Kar Wai's masterpiece.
The movie you are talking about perhaps "The mood for love"? It's not the same title I can read Korean and I know the translation sometimes can be confusing but they are different titles
Hands up if you watched this drama when it aired and watched it again and again and now in 2015 as well ;)
MY ALL TIMES FAVOURITE Sageuk no drama is a match
OMG exactly the way it was for me!! Though I finished it in two days (not because I loved it to the point I couldn't stop but because I was worried if I did I won't get back to it). All the rave all the praises as you said it did not live to the expectations but I don't blame myself because I've seen dramas that had the same hype and I had expectations as well and they've lived up to them (e.g. Kill Me Heal Me). Therefore I blame the drama it was simply just a "fine" thriller with JCW's acting became a "good" thriller. I rated it 8 as well (and I too think I could go lower).
I think I'm the only one who didn't like this Drama, I love the actors and I agree that the OST is incredible…
I can't believe someone else other than me did not like this drama!! all the reviews had like 9-10/10 the lowest it got is 8.5... I was surprised I thought I'm the only one who hated it... I respect Jo In Sung as an actor and I LOVE Gong Hyo but in this drama I hated her character it was too overbearing and annoying it's my first time disliking her in a drama as for JIS I loved him in What Happened in Bali but I noticed every drama i watch for him recently i don't like his acting... Peaple say this drama is different and refreshing I can see the "different" part but it's not refreshing at all... I've seen my share of psychological dramas, medical dramas...etc this does not teach me anything or open my eyes on anything I simply couldn't feel any of the characters or their traumas... btw I did finish it
wow all the comments about her doing plastic surgery.. who didn't?! most idols and actresses went through it except for few ones and even those got prettier with money by taking care of themselves not necessary plastic surgery... the word "natural" doesn't exist in that industry so let it go and appreciate actors for their acting

It was worth watching but overrated!! With all the fuss and rave it did not live to it, I was expecting an OUTSTANDING drama one like no other was made (like most ppl claimed) but it was just another good thriller suspense drama nothing outstanding. Calling it the best drama ever made is not fair considering all the dramas that I've seen imho. Then again everyone has his/her own opinion and this is mine. This drama is just good one not the best and it would have been better if they made it into 16 eps the last 4 ones were pretty boring :)
Funny how Ji Chang Wook wasn't even on the 1st page of top popular actors list (not that I agree with it) but now he is! After Healer he is suddenly the best actor, most handsome most desired...etc it's really funny how people rate actors... I haven't seen this drama yet and I haven't seen anything for JCW yet I hope he's as good as people say he is (not another Lee Min Hoo, Jang Geun Suk, Kim Hyun Joong pls) gonna start it today :)
waaah... looking at the reviews and comment section I guess I'm the only one who thinks this drama sucks!! I got so bored while watching it! It did not manage to gasp my attention with anything I didn't enjoy the romance, I didn't enjoy the melo... I have seen my share of psychological dramas, medical dramas and dramas with characters whom suffered from a trauma this drama failed at making me feel or believe any of the characters... The only reason I kept watching it is because I respect Gong Hyo Jin and Jo In Sung as actors I was hoping it will get better and live up to its reputation since it's a popular drama but it didn't. That was 16hrs waste of time.
This drama is not close to secret at ALL, but it wasn't waste of time. I think the problem with this drama is the extended eps, it would have been better if they kept it 30 eps long. However I'm glad I watched it I did enjoy it regardless of the flaws.
It would've been much better if they hadn't added the romance part to the story... It was really awkward and pointless Seo In Guk and Jang Na Ra have zero on screen chemistry... I wish if they just had focused on the psychopath thing
