Thank you for taking the time to read my review and share your personal thoughts on the drama. I have a couple of personal annoyances to note about the Chinese version in comparison to others. ( The duration of the series allowing plot to be overstretched and rarely delving into elements of character depth in comparison to some versions. )

However I suppose that from what you’ve seen from one of my points, I think that I did I mention that this new adaptation did admittedly include updated necessities for modern times. ( I suppose that due to our close age proximity, this was something that I did take away as a benefit from the adaptation also :).)

Having read the manga and having watched most of the recent versions ( sans the Japanese movie), I’ll be honest in saying that I have my personal thoughts on each adaptation. Currently I am watching the Thai version. I also have my own thoughts on positives and negatives about the show but I’m certainly looking forward to giving it a review :)!

Thanks for the article :)! I can honestly say that I can relate a lot to this as I’m often accused of “ hate-watching” a show if I leave a negative or very critical review. ( The other popular one that I get told like you is “ why not just drop it?”) .

In reality it is just an opportunity to write and practice.
I will rarely pick up a show unless it doesn’t appeal to me in some way. However i admit that I’m terrible for rarely dropping things unless it’s really dire. ( Although it does get a little irksome ! )

Out of curiosity would you ever consider writing separate articles on “ guilty pleasure” watching and “ hope-watchers”? It would certainly be intriguing to read :).

That certainly must’ve been an intriguing experience :)! I came across the movie myself from my late father who was a big Miike fan and revered ‘ Audition’ as one of his fav Japanese movies :).

I must admit I was a bit surprised to come across some negativity here to my review and am shocked that someone thinks this way 😞. I guess that I should probably explain that I was initially writing when I was going and did skim through to see the ending, and went back through to watch properly but didn’t realise that I clicked already watched! I’m on the final episode now so apologies for anything misleading. Apologies for the comments down below - it seems to be a little heated and I hope that I’ve cleared up any misunderstandings. I don’t mind if we see don’t see eye to eye but let’s just be respectful and I hope that everyone has a lovely Christmas 😁.
