It's probably the comedic tone to it. I find it easier to watch.

Both are veteran actors but Chen Dao Ming just nails the Emperor in JOY. The biggest difference is that the Emperor in JOY is charismatic. His deviance is never obvious but its there.

The General and the Princess knew they couldn't protect him for the entirety of his life, then why didn't they hone him step by step and not when it was too late? Now he is everyone else's burden lol

So far, similar but different temperaments. I guess because Reba's Li Changge was honed in the palace until she was older while this FL is rather roguish and street smart. still a lot to go in terms of character development so early days. So far I like her and very convincing gender bender.

So unnecessary yet appropriate if she turns into a demoness lol

With all the recent drama surrounding her latest rumoured drama, I just hope for Reba to be protected and respected by those around us. This is why I don't mind if she has more endorsement and events because that is what is keeping our good sis fed and builds up her brand.

I hope 2024 is nothing short of amazing for her.

Whether we will see her in a new drama is purely up to her team. We can support her and hype her as much as we can. Like you said, we will have trust and respect her choice.

I am so sad by the recent developments but let's think that she hasn't accepted it. While the melon is strong, lets wait until something official is announced.

Empress Ki is a great drama. Should it have been cut about 10 episodes which were filler episodes? Yes. It should have or at least reallocated it to finish off the ending as it was rushed. Over SOYP is delivered better because it paced itself well and cut it to 70 episodes which tastefully tidied the plot up nicely. If EK had been given the right care and consideration, it might have concluded just right. I do appreciate the way the scriptwriters handled the various relationships dynamic and how each shift in the relationships signals an end or a new beginning in the character journey. So both dramas have their points and weakness but I suggest watching it at your pace and let yourself explore the characters both in depth and on a surface level.

I am waiting for Sword Rose to come out!

Honestly they let that tasteless Yu Zheng producer talk shit about her on camera and in public. They are nasty as hell and only interested in safeguarding their money grabbing interests. I just don't get how they can treat their own stars like this. I hope her move inspires many to move out.

Jaywalk are a bunch of leeches. What has always upset me about them is they are always on the hunt for a quick buck when it comes to the actors on the roster and have them play second fiddle to other actors from other agencies. But will mercilessly use their top stars to traffic for subpar works because they know they can still get money/sponsorship from having someone like Reba on it. They don't stop to think what it does for their stars but how to extract as much as humanly possible. They have the nerve to announcement new projects they have invested into but not their own stars!
