Wu Lei with Park Bo Young Dilraba with Song jong ki/Park Seo joon maybe!
Lol I don't mind because I don't see them in a romantic arch. He's a talented actor so I wanna see how it plays out. I can see them in a detective story as accomplices/colleagues

Nice pairing. Hyun Bin and Yoo Seung-ho would be great choices too.

Best historical drama ever. Many years had past and still didn’t change my mind.
I'm convinced which is why I will watch it this weekend.

Question: If the Hallyu ban wasn't in place, who would you love to see be in a drama together?

For me, I would love to see Dilraba and Lee Dong Wook together. Just to see if my eyes could take all that beauty on one screen. Also Hyun Bin or Jang Hyuk with Sun Li would be interesting to see.

Of course, the plot, narrative pacing and ensemble cast would have to be amazing, none of that Diamond Lover nonsense lol

Yes, its still my top drama and the only one so far that I will use the word masterpiece for. I would say that…
LOL I would give it an award for the most cliche title but its crazy to see the growth that has spurred within the Chinese drama market since then until now

Leo still young here right?
I have seen photos of a young Leo in the series but I was curious about the storyline and what it generated so much buzz as it keeps coming up on my recommended list.

I feel you. I have dramas like that I don't particularly love plot wise and all but I love them purely for introducing me to Chinese dramas. I think mine was The Prince Who Turns Into A Frog with Joe Chen. If I were to watch it now, I would be highly critical and find it nonsensical but those earlier days in 2009 were innocent asf

I wished I watched JOL last year because then I wouldn't have been so bored.

What's the drama that isn't a political drama?

Damn. If that is true, that is some shady shit and is unfair to the entire cast and creative team. Let's hope this is all speculation because I can see why they call this shit in entertainment circles as "black marketing."

Just realised I binged all the dramas you have noted. I guess NIF will be the same. RIP to my sleep.

Thank you for the pointers! I prefer dramas that aren't romance heavy but slightly laced with it. Complex political dramas are useful to mentally exercise the mind.

Wow, the way y'all riding for NIF has me bloody curious to watch. I started a few minutes into episode 1 two years but I got sidetracked from work as I needed travelled out of town. But now I have something to do on the weekends.!!JOL was amazing. What is sleep at this point?

I binged the entire series in 2 days and I haven't recovered from JOL's awesomeness. I love the protagonist and the way he goes about things. And the supporting characters are equally as intriguing with grey areas. I have to find something in the meantime which is why I ask. Looks like another few sleepless nights if I watch NOF.

Thank you. I know what you mean for dramas to not only be character driven but also be written with a strong, narrative pace. There are only two dramas that I have seen carry this for me and that is The Story of Yanxi Palace and Joy of Life. Everything else has been subpar.
