I stopped talking sense to them since I realised ALMOST all of them are extreme fans being jealous, they want…
I swear those fans are delusional. Changge is half Uyghur in the manhua, it would have been disrespectful to not have had an actress of Uyghur descent to play the lead role. There's a lot of sexist as well underlining racism in a lot of these criticisms.

Both actresses play their respective roles well and represent a different kind of strength. Each have their own path as members of the Tang royal family and are currently on that journey.

oh wow what the heck that's a thing? These wonderful ladies don't deserve such disrespect. They've shown nothing…
Yeap, it always the actresses. If the comment isn't sexist, there's underlying layers of racism in it. It always has to be a competition never camaraderie when it comes to actresses. Which damages not only their hard work but their reputations. I swear people are crazy

Being an actress must be tough when you have to deal with misogyny and ageist comments all the time. I see comments complaining about Dilraba's age and pitting the actresses not the characters, against each other. It's truly disgusting the treatment that these wonderful actresses get. As a society, we have a long way to go.

I personally like both couple. But I hope people who say Hao Du and Leyan couple is so much better arent the same…
Exactly. I hate when they reduce female characters to characters that propel the heroic arch of the male lead. We want them to be heroes of their own stories, to have their thoughts and ambitions fleshed out. That's the character development we want.

I am interested to see who shot the arrow that knocked off Li Shimin's drink. Also, I think I have a slight crush on the actor once he grows out his moustache.

Even though we've only seen small interactions here and there, I find myself loving Sun's people. They aren't…
The Ashile Tribe are definitely not bad people. They are no different from those from the Tang Dynasty. Both are conquesting nations who can be ruthless and ambitious when they want to be. Me too, I am worried for their survival once Sun leaves. He's a caring and smart leader and the people respect him because of it.

The company is smart. The tactic they use with the 2nd lead is very clever. With the limited screen time leyan…
I find that he doesn't emote well when he's in costume dramas. I think a mature actor would've been better like Huang Xiaming or Yuan Wenkang. The younger Khan would've been a great choice too.

I don't get the Dilraba hate on here. Or the discrimination when there's an age difference between the actress and the actor. I swear netizens need counselling because if being a hater is how you spend your time, that's sad as hell.

Fun fact: Leyan's character is based on the historical Princess Xin Cheng (新城公主) and Princess Cheng Yang…
I'm rooting for sis to stand on her own two feet without the help of those guys. She deserves to be the heroine of her own story and a great Crown Princess in her own right. The kind that Changge would have been had she been if her father was still in power. This is why I am loving the scenes of them being away from the palace. They are learning that you don't need to be a titled noble or person to be of service to your people and subjects. Right now we are seeing that for Changge. Later on, Leyan will also learn that lesson!

You got to stick it out. The camera work is interesting to say the least but the script is strong so it makes up for it

honestly at this point i want leyan to end up with none of these 2 guys(hao du/ shuyu). My girl is getting neglected.…
Facts. Sis needs to follow her cousin's lead and find a man from the grasslands LOL The kind, caring girl who falls for the either the guy who saves her or the cold, unkind guy is an overused drama trope. I just want sis to learn a few worldly lessons that her sheltered life kept from her.

agree, a little plot hole there, if I may say
It's in the initial manhua so I am not surprised it happened.

Agreed!! The city is at war and you're about to kill the one person who can help...Such a dope!
Honestly, I can see why his father sees her as threat. She is able to see the big picture. I can't see why the likes of Haodu, Shuyu etc can't see that. This is a young girl who has just lost her family and the home she knows. Despite that, she is able to assist her people and fight for their survival. Sure her initial motives were selfish but she has had to grow up a lot faster than them in such a short time because of her circumstances.

It definitely hurt his pride when she said if she were to die, it wouldn't be at the hands of a mere pawn lol

I know she is kind. She is a good, honest person but in episode 13 I was a little annoyed. She didn't want to…
Haudou is softening up to her for sure and getting a mind/back bone of his own. Changge has the wits of an Emperor and the spirit of a General. I think that's what makes her so intriguing and favoured to those around her. She's able to see the big picture. Right now the thing that is fueling her is her revenge which makes up for the loneliness. When she finds her path, she will be unstoppable.

Let's be real, she has more guts than half the young men in her age group. She has certainly achieved more military efforts than Shuyu and Haodu. I can see why the elder courtiers were willingly to teach her so much despite the fact that she is a girl.

I would be bored to death if she was self-sacrificing. If she written out like the way Mingyue was written in The Promise of Chang'an, I would've been so pissed. I like that she's coming to the realisation that her self interest is secondary to that of her people and her subjects.

I'm also excited to see what Empress Xiao's role is in the drama as she was a powerhouse herself.

I know. I appreciate that there are a few women in leadership roles for production. Changge's character development is incredible. I hope she doesnt lose too many people on her journey to find her path. Leyan is also getting the exposure to the real world and seeing the hardships of her people which will benefit her greatly. I don't ship her with Haodu. The innocent, nice girl who falls in love with the cold, hard guy is a tired trope
