For Reba’s next project, Reba fans, any preference on what type of genre you wish to see Reba? Romance, xinxia,…
Republican drama is my next bet because how have they not capitalise on her aura. She would carry in an republican storyline! I want her co-stars to truly reflect the nature of what they do as spies. None of those pretty looking male co-stars who look too polished, I mean people who look hardened by their circumstances and ongoing war etc
She has the cutest smile. Who is she signed up with because she really just burst out into the scene so I can imagine her company putting mad resources behind her!
Her bio needs to be updated. She's no longer rising, she's pretty much established and is probs the front runner of actresses in China, especially in her generation.
PLOT EXERCISE - I would kill for Baba to be a wuxia as a cold hearted assassin.
Baba plays a cold, calculating martial artist who survives by taking on dangerous, often immoral jobs. She uses the money to feed and protect a group of abandoned orphans in her town. To move freely, she disguises herself as a young man, few know of her true identity.
One day, she accepts a job to assassinate a high-ranking official in the capital. The official (I'm thinking of Wang Kai or Zhou Yi Wei in this role) is known to be upright within political circles, but she accepts the task because she needs the money and sees it as just another job. She doesn’t move in those circles, so she has no way of knowing if he’s just another corrupt official with hidden connections.
She travels to the capital with a 15-year-old orphan boy she raised. He's intelligent, good at tracking, and helps her plan, though she initially didn’t want to bring him. Once in the capital, they stay at an inn and begin planning. They decide to carry out the assassination during the official’s son's birthday celebration, three days away. The plan is to infiltrate the household as temporary servants and kill him during the distraction.
However, during recon, the boy overhears that the official has been secretly supporting orphan shelters, including one in their home region. He shares this information with her. She doesn’t respond, but it's clear it complicates things.
Why isn't this added to the actors drama lists? But that first episode was fire lol sis really went in with no fighting skills to assassinate that man lol
Meng Zi Yi in an interview said she's quite busy these days. So much so that she would often get sick. And says…
Lately, more and more actors seem to be falling ill, and it’s hard to ignore the role their management companies play in that. It’s clear many are being overworked, often pushed to the brink in the name of “maximizing exposure.” A noticeable pattern with rising stars is that their agencies rush to capitalize on their newfound fame by having them accept every opportunity that comes their way, regardless of the project's quality or fit.
Human trafficking is a sin. I seriously can’t understand how anyone could hurt others just to make money. Yes,…
Honestly, its fucking disgusting! Its usually children, women, animals, and young men. Majority of these traffickers are powerful men with no conscious and only have profit on their minds.
I saw on Weibo that some yz fans (also called by C-net as yi xing or one star cafe) were trying to falsely accuse…
I find it funny how they say "stealing" the spotlight, like the spotlight is limited and can't shine on more than one person at a time. Some of these fans are actually doing more damage to YZ's reputation than good. If you have to fabricate lies to boost your favourite's credibility, you've already lost the argument.
Baba didn’t release a drama for two years, instead focusing on filming and select projects. But the moment there’s renewed hype around her, suddenly it’s unacceptable for her to exist in the same space. YZ is one of my faves but it’s clear that some in her fandom have had it out for Baba ever since she broke into the industry.
Is that the Rebirth of an Ill-fated Consort? I've seen this one a few times and that one is pretty dark. I can see Baba playing the lead as the FL is described as cold, a beauty that could bring about trouble, and deeply scheming.
I've come across several clips of Sword Rose circulating online, and they really hit hard. The film’s raw portrayal of child trafficking is deeply unsettling. Even from just a few scenes, it’s clear that Sword Rose isn't shying away from the pain, fear, and trauma faced by victims and survivors. It’s a reminder of the urgency to protect vulnerable children and confront the systems that allow these atrocities to happen.
I just know I am going to cry so I can only imagine the immediate reaction from audiences.
