I think it’s just pure physical attraction nothing more yet. But she seems to finally be moving on.

Of course he cares more about his power than any of his sons including FX. So to him FX is just the most convenient pawn to take care of both organizations. But I feel he might care for FX just a bit (like just a bit), but not as much as his other fathers.

Because he wants FX to take over that’s why he had him supervise LMC punishment. As FX said later, the emperor wants him to be a lone official (meaning he has no close ties with any other official). In this situation the emperor doesn’t have to worry about FX allying with other officials to scheme against him since he is in charge of two of the most powerful organizations in the nation.

I just finished this season and I just have one thing to say, Chen PingPing is one evil genius. Xiao En’s entire story and the Beiqi arc just proved that there is no “good” person in this story.

Well to start off she’s definitely wrong, but based on the reason she gave in episode 28 it seems she is convinced that MCH is being treated unfairly just like she was back in her hometown. I think in her bid to balance the situation, she is overly compensating thus causing MCZ to feel unloved.

I just realized that when MCH’s aunt (LWR) was just introduced she LWY is very lucky. Back then I thought she was talking about the inherited wealth but just watching the recent episodes did I realise that she referring to her family situation.
Which kinda makes me feel bad for her.🥺

But from the episode 24 trailer where she almost lands in prison I am sure we might finally witness some sort of character development from her. If not she can’t be human because no human is that stubborn.

I am just watching Blossoms in Adversity and from the way the FL’s cousin (Sui’an) would not be able to become an official if he defends his mother against his abusive dad or reports him, I think that is just Chinese culture. I am sure though china has become more liberal defying your parents or elders even if you are in the right one would be considered ungrateful and unfailing.
The engagement scene was a very human response because from what she said and what we have watched MCH has been enduring her mother’s antics. I am pretty sure since her grandma’s death, she wants to make the most of her time with her mother in order to prevent any regrets.

I have some reservations about XJL’s character in episode 16.
Is he just that dumb or the story is forcing it because how can you tell me that he thought MCH had agreed just because she said so. And this 30 year old man didn’t think to call or confirm with MCH before proceeding with the engagement party especially after MCH had said she wants nothing to do with him or her family. I need some answers please 🥺🥺🥺

To add, Xin Jiali single-handedly destroyed both her relationship with her father and brother and Xin Jialiang’s relationship with Mai Chenghuan

The plot reminds me of ‘Why women kill’😅😅
