WOOHOO EPISODE 33 This episode filled some of the gaps I had been waiting for last week. I must applaud this episode because it shed a lot of light on things: 1. The crown princess is not as fluffy and dumb as she would like people to think. She purposely invited CSS to the palace for a cover story. 2. Yang Yang is finally helpful: she gives CSS some pretty sound advice about love and spurs her to run into LBYs arms. on another note YY love line with Ban Jie is finally coming up excited for this. 3. Qiqi and Song's relationship seems so rushed! The pacing was really good and even almost slow before, but now after one drunken kiss, Song is going to marry into the Wan family. I think some scenes for them may have been removed to reduce the run time. 4. LBY has once again proven he will move mountains for CSS. Jeez gave away the only relic he had left of his "uncle" to save her.
I loved the building and setup of this episode especially. We started with CSS, still mad at LBY. Then we have the scene at the palace where LBY sees CSS and the Crown princess talking, and he walks out, and instead of CSS continuing to speak to the Crown princess, she follows after LBY (this change in behavior shows she is bothered about LBY is sublime. Old CSS would never have followed him out)
Then that scene is juxtaposed with that adorable one-hand carry scene (This scene gave me all sorts of feels; it was adorable but also hot- he picked her up like nothing!)
This episode gave us one of the most in-depth and romantic conversations between the two leads, giving us fluters then ramming a train through our hearts with the scene with LBY'S "mom." This show excels at balancing of emotions and I must applaud the Directors!
Naksu is the one in control of the body. She is the one feeling if she is holding a stone or if her feet are wet…
Why would we need to see him kissing Naksu's original body though. He is on love with Naksu but it's Bu Yeon's body. I feel like people are making this a way bigger deal than it needs to be.
Why did the aunt swap her son with LBY and save him instead???
Pretty sure her son had died already or was dying. SO in order to protect LBY from the people that wanted to kill him. Of which Marquis Yue and Marquis Ling were part, she made him dress as her son.
Okayyyyy episode 29 was so well balanced!! They took me out with that sweet moment between LBY and CSS at the wall : "You're the brightest star to me" and that forehead kiss- Loved it ! The fact the Cheng siblings were each freaking out about their kisses lool.
Loving the dynamic between the Empress and CSS- she is finally getting some deserved motherly love. On a side note, Madam Wang is absolutely crazy. She is stuck in the past and letting people manipulate her- SMH. Marquis Yue seems to be one of the biggest problems facing LBY and the present imperial court.
Episode 30.
Bruh~!!!!!!! The highlight of this entire episode was Imperial Consort Yue Heng. Sis was on fire! She leveled everyone to the ground! Absolutely amazing to watch and a perfect balance after the mistreatment of CSS.
This episode shed a lot of light on Huo Chong and just why the Emperor loves him so much and how that loves translates to Zisheng.
I loved the moment coming out of East Palance where CSS is acting petty about LBY coming to look for her and he just snatches her up and places her on the fence. Like dang even my heart fluttered. I also love how CSS called him Ling Zisheng; it just felt so much for intimate. She is really opening up to him.
I loved the balance in today's episodes was a nice combo of heart-fluttering moments+ some crazy royal relative acting up+ revenge+ funny moments.
Some things I am looking forward to seeing in the coming episodes: 1. Obviously more LBY + CSS romance 2. More interactions between the Cheng siblings and LBY 3. More progress on the love story between Ban Jie and Yang Yang ( it's been almost 10 episodes since he saw her and fell for her)
Welcome to part 2 guys!!!! We are in for one heck of a ride! The ending of Part 1 had me on a rollercoaster. I knew CSS would come around eventually but watching the pain in LBY eyes as she rejected him yet again had me teary-eyed.

You know China has a law that limits the number of episodes a show can have. So I get why MDL wouldn't want any issues from the broadcasting companies or whatever by combining the pages

I said she lived with her maternal aunt in law. Regardless she DID come home to visit (hence why she and NN knew each other beforehand) and had to withstand her mom attitude.
Me too because I just watched a clip when he comes back and she is out with YS and they meet. I'm already sad. I def have to find another show to watch while waiting for episodes

I agree actually lol. That dinner scene was hilarious and sad at the same time. Sad because LBY was really trying his best and thought he was bonding with his future bro in laws, but they were just so scared of his presence and the guards the had to comply

I mean if we are being objective her life kindda sucked too. I think we get so wrapped up in CSS and her plight with her mom we forget Yang Yang didn't have it that great either. A crazy abusive mom who verbally and physically assaulted her dad every chance she got ultimately leading to her being raised by her maternal aunt -in-law.

TBH I think it was intentional, the lack of balance I mean. We don't need to like or understand YS as of yet, they are building up to Part 2 when he falls hopelessly in love with CSS and becomes her interim Knight in Shinning Armor. But Yeah they still can never make me like the dude LMAO
