Ignore me while I stalk your reviews xDBut this is so excellently written, I want to watch the show just to see…
Please do! haha. I like coming back to see if I still feel the same as I did before.
Part of me - the twisted part that's morbidly curious about watching train wrecks and serial killer stories - wants to watch it again to see if I hate it as much when I'm expecting it. Maybe not. There are worse male leads than Sibtit in lakorns. He just makes me SO CRANKY. haha.
Watch it if you feel like hating on something. It's great for that, because everyone is just so dumb. Plus, they look especially dumb because everyone is wearing cowboy hats and pretending to be cowboys.
This was my first drama by Jang Hyuk and honestly I just loved him. ^~^ His extra-ness included lol. And girrrl…
Thank you so much! I've spent so much time with the characters and with the story I feel as if they were my friends, even though some of them are quite against the idea of friendship haha.
Oh yes! I can see why your excited. It's on my radar now too. Right now I'm beginning to embrace family dramas, though the going is a little rough at times. They're just like a typical drama, but all the high points and low points feel more intense because I've put in the sweat equity to know more about these people.
Have you watched The King's Woman? It reminds me so much of Empress Ki that it's scary, though I think Seung Nyang would wipe the floor with the baddies in TKW. Dang. I need to watch that again...Hospital Ship just isn't enough HJW for me.

I know. :-/ I've been writing a book! I'm at 50k words of the newest draft, and this one's got me all sorts of happy. Well, happy/nervous/annoyed/etc. about how much work it needs. But it's finally close to where I envisioned it to be.
I think (?) this might have been my first drama with Jang Hyuk too. I gotta give him props for such a quirky character among all the other rich male leads. It's been years but I still remember that laugh clear as day.
Even though Jang Hyuk and I don't always agree, I think that the quirkiness of the OTP begged me to continue this drama to the end. I especially loved seeing Na Ra's character growth and how her personality translated into art. And even though I watched this as it aired, I still listen to (and love) the OST. Great review!
Yaya was a force in this drama and absolutely carried it through the worst times. I loved when people would rub rumors about her sleeping around in her face, and she would just shrug and say, "So what if I did?" And the actress herself stole the show in the emotional scenes. I've seen her elsewhere, and so far she's impressed me in quite a few things.
I watched KC before I dove into the deep end of Thai melo, and I still believe it's one of the best ones to see if anyone wants to experience them.
Great review! I always try to start a rewatch of this drama at a slower pace, but it never works. The characters pull me in every time, and I remember how good it is. Glad you enjoyed it! I thought I loved Ha Ji Won the most in Secret Garden (also my fave of all time), but she slays as Seung Nyang.
That was totally sarcastic, of course. I'm dying a little bit inside, especially over Joo Won. GDragon. Seo In Guk. Ji Chang Wook...It would be easier to pick one of the few I won't miss.
Please let this be good, drama gods. Please let me see Binnie again in that quirky yet addicting way he pulls off so well. I need another drama to help me forget Hyde Jekyll Me happened.
Awesome review. This is indeed one of my top faves of all time. A character driven drama. Imo, better than all…
Sorry - didn't see this until now (MDL doesn't seem to send notifications for comments on reviews...), but thank you! I do love the Reply series, but I agree.
One thing I like about Nyang Nyang is that very rarely is she despairing over nothing. Most of the time, there's a big reason why, and she's out to stab it.
They kept me invested for almost the entire thing, which I didn't think was possible for a 50-ep drama. I miss the Ji Chang Wook feels the most, although I would be lying if I said I didn't develop a girl crush on Seung Nyang and her revenge master planning. I'm looking forward to seeing what you think of it!
One of my least favorite tropes in dramaland. It's just stupid. Peripheral vision exists, people. It's one of those times when my logic brain always wins over my "it's artistic and moving!" brain.
