Thanks! :) The food was gorgeous, and I was also unable to find anything remotely comparable to stuff my face with while watching. I'm debating watching Season 2, but I think I may wait a bit before starting. Not sure my body can take another onslaught right now, lol.

I watched Empress Ki not too long ago because of your review. My journey into kdramaland was identical to yours - My second drama (and forever favorite) was Secret Garden, and I fell in love with Ha Ji Won. I found King2Hearts, and I fell even more in love with Ha Ji Won. I am now a certifiable kdrama addict because of her alone. I figured that I would have the same overall opinion on this drama as you do, and I do. Gil Ra Im and Kim Hang Ah are two of my favorite characters, but Empress Ki...WOW. Anyway, just thought I would extend my gratitude for your review. Now I must continue my search for similar female leads that can hold their own... :)
