I think the ending was satisfying considering how messy their relationship was. It was an open ending. They were reminiscing about the past and spoke about how things could've been different if they had confidently accepted their feelings for each other without holding back or thinking about bad outcomes. So it was either the possibility of just being friends or the start of seeing each other in a different light without past scars threatening their future together.

So SD has some issues with his brain and JMY has issues with his eyes and brain. I'm assuming that SD will die and so he will give eyes to JMY before his death and he will go far away to die on his own so SY doesn't find out and feel guilty towards him but she will find out anyway cause by then BD and SD will be married and when SD goes missing BD will go crazy looking for him and then find out and twist it with lies and tell SY.

From what I've read they will reshoot some scenes but most of it will just be replacing the original actor's face with the new actor's. I guess cause in cdramas they have 30+ eps in historical dramas, so a lot of money will be wasted if they try reshooting it all, also it will take a long time to reshoot it all and then edit all the eps and also other actors probably took in new projects before the scandal took place, so they would need to wait a long time for everyone's schedule to be made clear. So it will basically waste all the other actors' time when they could be doing other dramas/movies and they'll need to be paid again for the reshoot. All in the costs will increase a lot and then there are the production crews as well who need to be paid and be scheduled for the reshoot. So a lot of things need to be considered if they want to reshoot the whole thing with the new actor. That's why they went for the less costly route of only replacing the two actors' faces and reshooting perhaps only the most important scenes in the cdrama.
BTW this is my guess from all the news I've read about it. Dont really know how much of it is finalized.
The plot is written so well! During the first half, everyone looked at NJD as the perfect husband material. But, slowly the protagonist turns out to be the antagonist and now everyone hates him!
Just imagine - once the law gets passed, it will backfire on NJD. So when everyone realizes he's a rapist, he will commit suicide.

Poor Jihoon all because of NJD! His life literally got destroyed because of that one glance at his father's doings. Of course, we don't know if it was rape or consensual since there are lies and truths coming in out but from Jihoon's pre-teen/teenager perspective it was an affair and he witnessed it firsthand to the point he had to throw up. Because of this, he turned bad and 5 years later it seemed that they didn't stop their bs leading to his death. How much of a nutcase is NJD!
