I really hate the fact that the law got passed on, I'm not gonna go controversial here but let's focus on the psychopath gene. We really need to distinguish the words psychopath and serial killer. Yes, the psychopath has a higher chance of them being a serial killer but that doesn't mean all of them who has the gene will be one. There are a lot of psychopaths that exist in the world today, although they are not capable of feeling love. Not all psychopaths are killers only a small fraction of them end up as a killer. There are millions of psychopaths in the world. A lot of them make very good leaders. They get the job done. Emotion does not get in the way of, say, firing an employee. Decisions are made quickly. Killing is always a choice. Psychopaths might make that choice more easily, but it doesn’t mean they would do it. There's just lots of flaw of eliminating the psychopath gene, take Yo Han, for example, he turned out to be the 1% of not being the psychopath. Yo Han turned out to be a great man. He saved many lives and just because of the test that was done to him everyone thought he was a psychopath even though he was a skilled doctor.

Princess HuiRou has a selfish father who did everything wrong and screwed up her life. Most beloved daughter? Yeah right

No. If they wanted to have this kind of final, Zi O story from episode 1 should have been very different. This doesn't make sense unless we accept that everyone went crazy or became unexpectedly areally, really stupid. I'm super disappointed, it started as a badass sci-fi and endend with people doing nonsense stuff.

How can anyone like or accept that ending it made literally no sense and the whole drama was pretty much pointless with that ending.

What a terrible ending. Went from 9/10 to 4/10 for me and that’s still generous. The ending is everything to me. It’s like eating a yummy meal but then it gives you food poisoning and you hit the bathrooms every 5 minutes. No matter how good it taste I can’t justify myself giving it a good score. So sad. What a disappointment:(

Genuinely very very happy for everyone who enjoyed it but unfortunately, I felt like that ending was so, so shoddy and it exposed the weak writing that was present throughout the show. There were ways to have made it acceptable but instead of using those 20 hours effectively, they had to create two special episodes to make that ending seem somewhat plausible (I say somewhat because I still don't think CJ loved SY the way he did SB and even if he did, those feelings went away really quickly and it makes him seem fickle). I'm not surprised or disappointed because I saw it coming but I do think it was haphazard, offensive, and unjustifiable, personally speaking. That said, major kudos to the actors! They were all absolutely brilliant and the show would not have been as successful as it was without them and their respective prowess.

Ok, so basically there are winners and there are losers. The winners are the ones who suspected So Yong is "behind the wheel", the losers, suspecting Bong Hwan of leading. Personally, being in the loser team, I don't think we should fight. It's not our fault that we had different theories. The ones at fault are the writers/producers/whoever who made the decision to keep us in the dark FOR THE WHOLE SHOW. Like, there were other alternatives, to list just a few:
1. Bong Hwan going back to his body after falling in ep 6-7, letting us know that So Yong is taking control with full set of his memories, so she's still pretty quirky
2. Introducing So Yong to us, letting us know that she was in charge more and more - and not only when the Queen was getting intimate with the King! Instead, they introduce SY to us in the spinoff...
I'm not even talking about my personal favourites here... But if they wanted this kind of ending there are better ways to do it. Like, for 13 episodes (7-19) there was no talk about BH even considering the possibility of going back!
I feel that the ending would have been better if I had known it from the start. But now, after all those episodes where BH was questionning his sexuality which made me so sure that he was the one falling for the King... I guess when I rewatch the episodes I will try to convince myself that it's in fact SY who is in charge, but I still feel so heartbroken.

As one of the "some people", I think it's really about how you interpret everything that happened. Not to say that my view is right but for me the problem was that we never really saw much of SY, so I think I drew a line between SY and BH that your for example didn't draw. It just makes me feel sad because the way it is, BH and CJ lose something and only SY really wins although she was the least active (in my view).

I think what people are mad about isn't so much that it's not BL but that the ending makes no sense in light of the whole logic of the plot until that point. This feels as if a drama has a great love story between FL and ML and then the FL suddenly gets replaced by some other girl. And rather than to address that, the drama is like... Anyway, this is the happy ending. But, like... Who is it happy for? Really only the other girl.

yeahhh! that is the annoying part about this. yes, it is obvious and it really makes me angry that 'family' audience can't watch same-sex relationships. but that is not the most annoying part: it is that screenwriter showed us jang bong hwan x cheoljong relationship/romance and then boom!! we got so yong at the end.

I can't say I'm not disappointed by the ending.If they really wanted Soyong back they could have surprised us by saying that Bong Hwan had actually left the body since the queen collapsed earlier in the series and Soyong hadn't realised because she still had his memories.Then in the final episodes she would realise it was her all along and thus we would have the same woman who had the romance with the king.I understand that Soyong was in the body the whole time but that doesn't make her the same person as Sobong,she is still a woman of her era while Sobong wasn't.The best ending for me would be to leave Bonghwan in the body to find his happiness in Joseon with all the friends he/she made,and have Soyong get in his body and have the time of her/his life in 2021 as a free person.I get it that Bonghwan had a life to go back to but if that as a female they would have made her stay in Joseon with her lover no matter how good of a job and life she had in the modern era.

We complain, because they did NOT give us what we wanted.
We aren't hating here, or anything, we are simply disappointed.

we are not finding a way, it was just so uncomfortable to watch that ending. and this is our opinion.

Are you really gonna tell that the king didn't even notice the change after all? So the king loves the body no matter what is inside I'm not okay with this end It's sucks cuz he spend the all drama with BongHwan to in the last minutes he end up with Soyong
