But also that’s crazy he doesn’t know anyone in this new cast because he’s barely filming. What is the point in having a ML in general if he’s not even in the show? At that point, 2nd and 3rd ML may as well be the ML.

I just don’t get making him co first billing and then not actually really using him in terms of filming scenes. It doesn’t even seem like he’s a lead with how much free time he seems to have and the number of days he’s just not needed on set. Fingers crossed he can have more screen time in his next drama if this one doesn’t pick up.

His face when she asked him to move to Nanjing together and start a coffee shop or garage was so sweet. JM had been planning their future together and you could tell hearing that meant a lot to him.

I recently saw something where someone else is now rumored to be the ML for the WCR drama and he is now rumored to be doing a modern drama as his next project. Not sure how true either is, but it does seem like he will be doing some other drama after ROTR finishes so it will be a bit before any potential second collab.

Maybe it’s just my algorithms, but I do really hope all the (non-toxic/OTT CP) enthusiasm I’ve seen for a 2nd collab for them when the Shen drama rumor appeared does make me hopeful they will eventually film a drama together again at some point.

Yes! The lighting and quite a bit of the camera work is SO beautiful! I have more to say about the lighting in particular and how it adds to the story, but I don’t want to spoil the rest of the episodes for you if you don’t know what’s going to happen.

Oh. I sort of like this suggestion. If I’m remembering 20 right, it might be a bit confusing because that’s when the Thai arc ends, but skipping right to Nanjing would be an interesting way to watch it. I saw a comment that had suggested the show should start in Nanjing and then have Thailand be more flashbacks and I think that could have been interesting too.

Yeah, I find it interesting when I hear about how so and so also comes from a wealthy family and yet people don’t nitpick/hold it over their head/throw constant accusations at them like they do her.

Sorry, I have let my subscription expire so I can’t check timestamps and I would say San Lai is the 2nd ML, not Lin Sui so that’s why I guessed you were talking a about SL.

If this is the “I like Chinese girls/ I also like handsome boys” scene, I think that’s just a random cringey line they left in for whatever reason. JM never really wavers from JZ and she has already brushed off Lin Sui (ex. When he took her home from his house Nana brought her). In one of the lives the cast did, YSX mentioned the original line was going to be something along the lines of “Sorry, I don’t like Thai boys.” Maybe they went with the handsome boys scene to show how JM was excited to have been taught how to drift in a heart. She didn’t seem to trust Lin Sui much beforehand but seemed appreciative after learning.

Not sure if you’re still watching, but I would just say on both JM and LS’s ends, they aren’t interested in each other romantically.

I agree. That’s why some of my favorite SAL scenes were all the different hand holding scenes throughout. It shows how you can convey intimacy and chemistry without kissing or s*x.

Is this when SL had his makeover and she was gushing over his bracelet? I didn’t really see this as flirting on her side. I never got the impression JM ever liked him in a romantic sense, more as a big brother figure and this was her appreciating the new look she had suggested turning out well.

I've had the thought multiple times I would like to see Esther's angle of the wedding scene. I didn't realize they might have to be out in the sea to get it. 🤣

I REALLY wish they got to do HI6 or some sort of other variety show that was more current than Thai Sweet. Or even one of those meet and greets I've seen drama couples do in front of a live audience to promote their dramas. It just feels like outside of the three lives they did and IG comment interactions, we didn't get to see the cast interact as much in more current times.

The OST is on repeat for me. I also keep watching edits and BTS clips. I feel like every other day I find an old Reuters I hadn't seen before. And I'm hoping the SK premiere will have more clips/promo material being released.

This show's strengths are vibes and visuals, not logic nor editing. 😭

I guess they just wanted to establish he was a good fighter and went with the large weight class difference right off the bat to do so. If you think this was over the top, there are some scenes where it feels like the ML might start flying when he's fighting with some of the stunts he does. And if it helps, if I'm remembering correctly, most of the other guys he fights are more his size.
