Sorry, I have let my subscription expire so I can’t check timestamps and I would say San Lai is the 2nd ML, not Lin Sui so that’s why I guessed you were talking a about SL.

If this is the “I like Chinese girls/ I also like handsome boys” scene, I think that’s just a random cringey line they left in for whatever reason. JM never really wavers from JZ and she has already brushed off Lin Sui (ex. When he took her home from his house Nana brought her). In one of the lives the cast did, YSX mentioned the original line was going to be something along the lines of “Sorry, I don’t like Thai boys.” Maybe they went with the handsome boys scene to show how JM was excited to have been taught how to drift in a heart. She didn’t seem to trust Lin Sui much beforehand but seemed appreciative after learning.

Not sure if you’re still watching, but I would just say on both JM and LS’s ends, they aren’t interested in each other romantically.

I agree. That’s why some of my favorite SAL scenes were all the different hand holding scenes throughout. It shows how you can convey intimacy and chemistry without kissing or s*x.

Is this when SL had his makeover and she was gushing over his bracelet? I didn’t really see this as flirting on her side. I never got the impression JM ever liked him in a romantic sense, more as a big brother figure and this was her appreciating the new look she had suggested turning out well.

I've had the thought multiple times I would like to see Esther's angle of the wedding scene. I didn't realize they might have to be out in the sea to get it. 🤣

I REALLY wish they got to do HI6 or some sort of other variety show that was more current than Thai Sweet. Or even one of those meet and greets I've seen drama couples do in front of a live audience to promote their dramas. It just feels like outside of the three lives they did and IG comment interactions, we didn't get to see the cast interact as much in more current times.

The OST is on repeat for me. I also keep watching edits and BTS clips. I feel like every other day I find an old Reuters I hadn't seen before. And I'm hoping the SK premiere will have more clips/promo material being released.

This show's strengths are vibes and visuals, not logic nor editing. 😭

I guess they just wanted to establish he was a good fighter and went with the large weight class difference right off the bat to do so. If you think this was over the top, there are some scenes where it feels like the ML might start flying when he's fighting with some of the stunts he does. And if it helps, if I'm remembering correctly, most of the other guys he fights are more his size.

I think that Strawbear Productions YouTube channel got taken down that had a lot of SAL content on it 😭.

It specifically had the Para Para Sakura MV that was over 300k views last I checked and the dance practice video. All I can find now is the IQIYI channel MV that is at 86k views. If anyone knows where else the dance practice is and could share it, that would be greatly appreciated.

That makes sense. One of the BTS clips of the final episodes with her, it definitely felt like she was giving a lot of advice to HY about the scene and he seemed to be really listening to her.

Edit: Sorry, I misread the comment. It was the mother, not the step mother who was in the BTS clip I was thinking of. I do think in general the mom, dad, and stepmom did seem like strong actors/actresses.

I just remembered a question I had when the show was airing.

When JM goes to the dinner with San Lai and Crazy Jin in Nanjing after not seeing them for 6 years, San Lai gives her his business card and she looks at JZ and says something along the lines of his name was also on the card. Does anyone know what the business card said/the context of why JZ’s name was on it?

I was really surprised when I saw his schedule and he wasn’t very busy this month filming wise. Hopefully his filming schedule picks up more.

Is it normal in Cdramas if a drama is actually female centric and the ML isn’t in it much to still have the two leads be equal billing? Isn’t that what they ended up doing for Reborn of the Rightful?

Sometimes. There’s a lot of ads or a gap about the size of an ad when I scroll.

Mom can be annoying but she’s not in it much and the last couple episodes help a bit. The focus in general is on the leads-side characters get maybe 10 minute plot lines and then it goes back to the leads.

Yes to breakup/separation but it doesn’t last too long. The breakup is sort of controversial in terms of if people think it’s justified.

I usually see ads in the comments.

I was just thinking of the different shows in the US where you have a 25+ year old guy playing a high schooler and there really aren't that many complaints (ex. Cole Sprouse in Riverdale, Darren Barnett in Never Have I Ever who is OLDER than YSX and was a love interest for someone 10 years younger than him IRL, Sang Heon Lee in XO Kitty), so it is sort of sad to see people nitpick on her age when she does look pretty young. And complaining about an 8 month age gap between the lead actor/actress is weird when they are both in their late 20's in general. If one was like 28 and the other was 20-22 I could sort of understand some complaints since this is a spicier show, but 8 months? 🥴 The complaint being YSX is older makes the comment weirder.
