Second Chance Love with a Side of Nerdom I'm Here for It!
This series looked cute from the trailers, but I ended up enjoying it so much more than I expected. One of the things I loved most was that Baek Su Jeong, for better or worse, was always true to herself. She was a strong female character, competitive, hard-working, and didn't shy away from difficulties. I also really related to Ban Ju Yeon's fanboy tendencies and his struggle to balance professionalism with his love for various fandoms and rock culture. I appreciate the idea of holding on to the hobbies that bring us joy and thankfully, nerd culture is more widely accepted for most of us - though maybe not as much in chaebol circles!
The connection between Baek Su Jeong and Ban Ju Yeon was fun to watch. Even in their moments of conflict, you could still feel the bond they had, one that was already established from their early video game days. And I think the age gap story line was refreshing.
Also, I have never hated a grandma more in my life! If you’ve seen the show, you probably know exactly what I mean. While I’m glad things were reconciled in the end, I still can’t say I’m a fan LOL.
I might still be wearing rose covered glasses from finishing it, but overall, I looked forward to this drama every week. Between this and Study Group, I finally got over my K-drama slump. It’s definitely making my rewatch list!

The Action Packed Series I Needed In My Life
I had been down a c-trauma spiral, so Study Group was exactly what I needed to break up the sadness and get myself excited about a series. The action is *chef's kiss* -- hello the flaming backpack?! I really enjoyed the chemistry between the cast too, you're rooting for them right from the start. My only minor issue with this show is that I can't believe it took a substitute teacher to take down Lil Tony Soprano over there. I know this is a group of students who are typically overlooked, so people turned a blind eye to what was happening, but still, good lord. Overall, I loved this series and I wouldn't be mad if they picked back up and gave us a college study group adventure! Was this review helpful to you?

Heartbreaking But A Conversation Starter
I’m usually not a drama drama girl, and even though this show absolutely shattered me, I’m really glad I saw it through. It’s DEVASTATING but has some beautiful moments and very poignant commentary on mental health and the impact of not only war but how high stress and traumatic situations can have deep life-altering effects. The cast was fantastic, I’m sure it was an extremely difficult filming process, but they should be very proud of their work. I will probably be thinking about this show for a long time. Was this review helpful to you?

We love a strong FL character!
i know that workplace romance is not for everyone, but I highly highly highly recommend you give this show a watch! Not only do we have an amazing, strong female lead character, but also the greenest flag written in a long time. A ML who truly supports her and is not intimidated by a powerful woman. The power dynamic flip is really refreshing, not cringey like it can sometimes be the other way around, and the romance is romancing. The cast of characters around them is equally as fantastic and the little family that is built is so precious. Was this review helpful to you?

I’m Enjoying this Series but…
I was looking for a show that wasn’t going to be too serious, just an easy watch, and I would say this series is delivering on that. But I have to know who approved Dilraba’s makeup. Because in what world does somebody wear red lipstick every single day, lounging at home, even going to sleep? I like her as an actress, but it’s too much 😂I know that fashion girlies aren’t always makeup girlies as well, but I find it hard to believe she wouldn’t wear other colors AND wouldn’t take her makeup off before bed.Okay rant over, I still have half the series to watch lol.
