opinion is when you mention it 1 time... when you write it millions of times the same thing its already a different thing... after all this drama doesnt consist of 1 this particular scene which you didn't like... so it shouldn't be judged by it. we even haven't finished watching it. 🤷‍♀️🩵🪽✨️

puffy cheeks? 🤣 I'd prefer him to be a bit puffier, I think he looks very thin recently... I want him to be healthy, to eat food and everything he likes , not to be on a diet... he's Legend already not only on this drama but a actor too. : ) 🩵🪽

Some people will find cute and funny things which you don't find... that doesn't mean they are wrong or you are wrong. that only means that you are different, unique souls which have different opinions, perceptions and understanding of what is funny and what is not.
not each joke will make anyone laugh right? and its normal.
Because sense of Humour is unique from person to person.
As for me even some scenes wont make me laugh, they will make me smile for sure. Because i feel and see a lot of Cheng YI in Xiao Ming Ming, not like his other roles. and i feel like if it was Cheng Yi himself teleported instead of Xiao Ming Ming there, these funny scenes would be very similar... and it makes me smile tbh. : )

And i knew that some of you would complain about funny scenes in this drama.. but here you go... he didnt go back in time.. its not periodic drama,,, its a wuxia, fantasy drama where any kind of scenes including funny are welcome. They are not contradictory anyhow with the whole concept and script. And if you know who Cheng Yi is... you should know that he's light-hearted cute and funny guy, who often jokes on set and in RL, lifting up people around him. So i personally think that humour suits him. There was humour in MLC too, just different humour as you mentioned. Different, because the script, the character he portrays, the soul and his life story are completely different too.
Different people have different opinions, and perceptions of Beauty, for me personally this drama is the best wuxia of 2025. If it wasn't restricted on Iqiyi and Wetv for so many regions it would have much higher rating and popularity already. :)

And even if his character does or says something funny sometimes, that doesn't mean that this drama isn't a serious watch. His dramas are always like this i cry from sad moments, i smile at good and funny... you get all the range and kinds of emotions all from one drama. i l enjoy it. and I'm inspired by his awesome martial arts scenes and the whole production overall. So even if there're a few scenes which are supposed to be funny, i don't find that it ruins the drama, instead i like that it's never boring. :)

and this region restriction also influenced bad way. i pay for all 3 (IQiyi youku wetv) for several years, and I have them mainly coz of CY. its sad that I have to pay additional streaming platform to see it. but well its fine for me coz I think it worth it. But those who don't know CY well will simply skip it if they don't see it on Iqiyl. and its sad.

well higher the rating '- means more ppl will choose it to watch. at least from curiosity. So I believe it may have some influence on overall popularity of the show. Ofc those who know CY will watch it anyway... I'm watching it despite region restriction on wetv and iqiyi . 🩵🪽

For IA i really see difference in initial trailers and the final product. I think it was supposed to be more wuxia than xianxia. (actually its official genre is wuxia, drama, fantasy) But they decided to make it look such.
as recently I prefer Wuxia, I liked Cheng Yi drama more. 🩵🪽

Actually when I saw some beautiful trailer from Immortal Ascension, I wanted a lot Cheng Yi to be in it. But I couldn't imagine that actually i'll like overall production of Legend much more then how IA looks like. There's no too many flahy spells which by my opinion don't suit to wuxia much (the Blood of Youth and Dashing Youth are exceptions).
Yes I started it for Cheng Yi. But I'm really enjoying it. I think it would be not less popular than MLC if it wasnt restricted in so many regions.

as well as i remember when she was fighting He Rufei's guard she was blind... and Lei Hou... she said that she still didnt recover fully from her traumas and poisoning , her strength wasnt the same as it was when she was a general.
