Cheng Yi's acting is worth it. It made even Republican drama shine...

Usually I'm not a big fan of Republican drama, I'm more into Wuxia and Xianxia, costume dramas and sometimes modern.
But Cheng Yi's acting is really worth it, because for a long time one of my favourite Cheng Yi's characters was his character from "Lost Tomb 2" Zhang Bu Xun.
Very touching and heartbreaking role.

"Deep Lurk" is a good rare example how low budget drama which was filmed 5 years ago can be so amazing.
Of course, Cheng Yi's acting and acting of other actors is one the main reasons for this.
Many people were desperate to see something new from Cheng Yi and I feel noone is disappointed. At least I'm not.
Drama is thrilling, fast paced, with lots of action. All the characters are highly intelligent and strong which makes it more interesting...
Heroism, Patriotism, Love, Family, War, Betrayal, good and bad, compassion, sacrifice for high cause...
This drama has everything to keep us excited, thrilled and satisfied.
This is a proof that even lower budget dramas can shine if actors and team are talented.
Watching it for Cheng Yi, but all the actors delivered amazing performance so far.
Script has lots of surprises, making all the My dramalist guess "Who is actually Kunwu?".
I can't wait for the new episodes to find out the secrets they will reveal to us.
Amazing drama...
Give it a try. You won't regret,
especially if you're fond of Cheng Yi acting.

Well, he was brutal, not the type of relationships which i'd like for myself... but obviously they wanted to show that by destiny they had chemistry from the start just she denied it before knowing more about him. And gradually she fell for him seeing his good and strong sides not only brutal ones as in the beginning.
Not my type of Love, but there're different types of Love.
Good acting, beautuful leads, it was quite entertaining. 🤭👌🩵🪽

It's just a low budget mini with quite simple plot, but it gives understanding how deep and devoted (close to insanity ) can be Love of a husband to wife in China and how deep and beautiful is respect and love for elders.

Forcing is not good, but to fight for Love is good.
In some way I'd like the man I love to be obssessed with me to such point that he wont see himself with any woman but me, and wont imagine me to be with anyone but him... and he should be strong enough and dare to fight for it. She saves him and protects him, and he saves her and protects her. And Such devotion deserves to be eternal as such Love. 🩵🪽

Not overrated, really good. ;) ♡

Many bad critical reviews, but I think the high rating of this drama and mostly good comments in the comment section speak for themselves.
I love both Zhou Ye and Cheng Lei, and I think they made a really great job portraying their characters. Somehow despite so many fighting scenes Cheng Lei managed to show his soft and gentle side with Zhou Ye( behind the mask of cold general. )
Beautiful leads, good acting, great chemistry, beautifully filmed combat scenes, beautiful costumes, good script, great production and rewarch value overall by my opinion.
Even though Zhou Ye is a thin and graceful girl she looked not less impressive in combat scenes than Cheng Lei.
A Story about Hetoism, Loyalty, True friendship, Love, Betrayal, Patriotism.
Family what is it? Is it a place where you are born, or people who surround you from childhood? or family are the people who understand you, care for you and support you most throughout your life?
This drama is about past, but you can see similar things in modern world too. When people in struggle for power don't see how ugly their soul becomes when they use wrong means to achieve their goals.
But the truth is that as long as Heroes and benevolent fearless souls exist there will always be justice and Light, and good will always triumph.
Heroes and true Love can be reckless sometimes risking their lives and everything they have for the right cause. But no matter if their end is happy or tragic, at least they don't live in vain. To follow your heart always, and to live according to your beautiful values no matter what, is the only beautiful, worthy and dignified way of existing.

Dont miss this coz of wrong opinions.

The best drama of 2025 or another Cheng Yi 's masterpiece? : )

I was anticipating this drama since they started filming it... mostly because of faith in Cheng Yi's incredible talent and acting and i can say it didn't disappoint me. Cheng Yi is always good in making you feel all kind of emotions and thrill all in 1 drama. 1 second you smile about funny scene, another you cry hard because you feel heartbroken for the tragedy of his character... Costumes are very gorgeous. Same goes for fighting/ martial arts scenes, where Cheng Yi is unrivaled. Plot and effects, the whole production is top notch. If it wasnt restricted abroad for so many regions, noone would stop it from getting same rating in MDL abd IMDb as Lotus Casebook, or even to surpass it. This drama met lots of hate from start from other fandoms... but because of Love its still here... and its loved. It leads all charts in China since it started to air. Which is a proof of its value.

Xiao Qiu Shui brothers are truly disappointing to me... family isn't supposed to be like this. because family is Love. If you Love him you will try your best to save him even if he's wrong, even to die for him. And if he says that he's right its loved ones who should believe him, and stay by his side till the end, even if the whole world is against him. Family name? honor? it all pales in comparing with staying loyal to the person you Love no matter what. /Love

I feel like i can watch this scene of fight between Xiao Qiu Shui and Li Chen Zhou millions of times on loop and won't get tired of it. . So gorgeous. : ) Some Chinese girl last week said that some haters on weibo accused CY of being gentle, I dont see anything contradicting in it with his manly, strong side.
But I've never seen anything more manly than the way Li Chen Zhou looks at Xiao Qiu Shui...
I feel like a little kitten under his look...

Don't look at ratings, enjoy your watch, make your own fair opinion instead.

And some should already stop these silly fan wars finally, you only set up your idol this way. Coz what these haters don't understand is  that some people are already associated in my mind with despicable methods of their fans... Fandom is always a mirror of an idol in some way.. is he such too? if he's not they set him up. coz because of this bad association  i'll skip some productions most likely and wait for someone with good character, Virtues and good associations to air new drama. Its not like we are in desert without water... there're plenty of drama nowadays  and lots of choice. : ) 🩵🪽✨️

So, if you truly believe in their talents and worth, Let them, their masterpieces and their talents to compete free and fair. )

This mini made my day ?

This drama made my day, I smiled and laughed so much that it will give me wrinkles.
This story is about an amazing woman who after her death transgressed into future into a body of 18 y old girl. After that she meets her son and her 4 grand grandsons( 4 handsome brothers...) How she disciplines them was really hilarious. 🤣 One more time I fell in Love with China, Chinese values and families.
As a kick-ass girl myself I really enjoyed to see FL in a kick ass way to bring righteousness and order back to her family.
It's a short with low budget and production value... but so much righteousness, character, values, virtues in it...
Good acting, beautiful actors and actresses, good funny script.
Thank you guys, I really enjoyed it and had fun watching it. 🤭🩵🪽
