Nah, I love this, I won't pretend that I don't. I'm waiting for a bit more conflict, but either way, I love this.
Book and Mike have such comedic chemistry, I enjoy all of their scenes together.
The only thing for me is Thi and Zo as a couple. I love the idea of a second couple, and having them already be a established one from the beginning seemed nice... Still, I see no chemistry at all between them. Maybe it's the way they were written, or maybe it's me still suffering because of Fluke and Thor that I loved so much on The Warp Effect, not being a pair in this. I do think both actors are hella cute, and I really wanted to like them as a couple, but unfortunately I don't.
As soon as I read the synopsis mentioning the love between two surfers, I immediately thought about "Shelter", which is one of the very first LGBTQ+ movies I've ever watched, way, way back, and I love it to this day.
That being said, still, I wasn't expecting much out of this plot, but after watching the trailer and now the first two episodes, I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised with how good this is. Cinematography is beautiful, eye-catching, and you actually believe the leads have romantic tension for one another. I can't wait to see where this is going (nowhere tragic, hopefully).
Ki Tae is down bad, isn't he? Boy kept saying again and again how much he likes Lee Wan, and honestly that's what Lee Wan deserves. That's what they both deserve.
I feel like some other misunderstanding will arise, but I don't see them stretching it too much, I mean there's not even time for this.
Oh, I didn't know this was becoming a full-on series. I really like the movie, and what they did with the time they had. Definitely want to watch this.
This episode seemed a lot more like a filler than anything else, it literally flew by, even though it introduced some new things. Still, not mad at it at all.
I like this a lot so far. Regarding the plot's pacing, I think the point of having them kiss and whatnot so soon, means they're going to get involved, and maybe hide this from everyone else? More space for other things to ensue. It's nice to see a different structure to what we expect from general plots.
Also, Book, I like this kind of character for Book. Theo? Not my favorite. Now, Cher, I like Cher and his talkative, quite endearing self.
Wen balances Jim out in a much needed way. He makes him see things from another perspective, an easier, less heavier one. I do think that after Wen, Jim was able, even if in a more subtle way, to let go from a lot of things, and so did Wen.
I simply CANNOT. I feel for literally everyone? I mean, Jim and Gaipa, that was so sad. But I'm glad Jim didn't give him false hope, and didn't use him for his own benefit, but that poor boy, oh my god. Khaotung is simply great.
Also, I feel like we're repeating the same thing over and over again with Jim and Wen. I get Jim's reasons and his unavailability, and I do think he likes Wen back, all things considered. Wen is like a breath of fresh air into his life, something different. He keeps pushing Wen away, but his scene with Gaipa just showed, at least to me, how differently he pushed him away, how much more final it seemed, how he shut Gaipa and his feelings down immediately. And then, with Wen... Push and pull, push and pull. Geez.
Like mentioned in previous comments, the women in this are absolutely GREAT, and it's such a shame they don't get half of the recognition some other male actors do.
I love the themes in this show, I love how they're approached, and talked about.
Also, Mollie, a spare hand in marriage? Girl is gorgeous.
Oh, this is so messy, in the best way possible. I knew there was more to Alan and Wen than what we expected. Heart and Li Ming are healing as heck amidst this entire mess, their scenes are beautiful.
Everyone was great, I love, love, love First, and I loved his Alan. Also, to me, Mix's eyes tell an entire story, I love Wen too.
I don't know but why do I feel like they're trying to trick us, I still don't believe Alan and Wen are together…
Oh, yeah! I'm with you. I also feel like they're not together as a couple anymore, but if they truly are or even were when JimWen happened, I'm definitely not on Wen's side on this.
Oh, shit! It seems like my excuses for Wen's choices are going to end tomorrow? Or maybe it's going to be the other way around. I'm excited, give me drama, the good angst. I really want to know the nature behind his relationship with Alan.
Mix's eyes the entire episode. Wen is handsome, HANDSOME. Cinematography is so very pretty too. There's so much to unfold, I like it, I really, really like it.

Love it so far ❤️
This is light, easy to watch, and yes, cute.
